CTO Group is looking for a New Technology Manager with strong expertise in experimental optics, broad technological knowledge, and proven leadership in driving innovation from concept to implementation.
In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee multiple research and development projects, and collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate emerging technologies into Novas innovation pipeline.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to deliver high-impact technology projects.
Plan, prioritize, and oversee multiple R&D initiatives, managing the process from concept through feasibility and early development stages.
Identify emerging industry needs and scout, evaluate, and recommend disruptive technologies to address them.
Guide experimental design and execution in optical systems, ensuring robust testing, validation, and documentation practices.
Foster collaboration across internal teams and with external partners, including academia, industry, and suppliers.
Influence Novas long-term strategic direction by integrating novel technologies into the corporate roadmap.
Ensure effective project management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and milestone tracking to meet organizational objectives.
Requirements: Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in team leadership and project management within a technology or R&D environment.
Strong hands-on expertise in experimental optics (e.g., laser systems, interferometry, pump-probe techniques, spectroscopy).
Proficiency in data analysis and algorithm development.
Experience in optical and mechanical system design (advantage).
Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and fab environments (advantage).
