we are seeking an Engineering Team Lead to join our R&D organization, reporting directly to the Senior Director of R&D. This role is ideal for someone who can drive strategy and execution across infrastructure, data, and application domains, while guiding a multidisciplinary team of senior engineers. As an Engineering Team Lead you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for the systems, tools, and infrastructure that power our entire organization.
This includes ownership of DevOps, data engineering, internal IT, integration frameworks, and the development and operation of both internal and external-facing applications. Your team plays a critical role in ensuring enterprise readiness, operational excellence, and long-term scalability across all technical domains.
Responsibilities:
Lead & mentor a senior, cross-functional team of Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, and IT professionals.
Drive strategy & execution for production infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, data platforms, internal tools, and external integrations.
Ensure operational excellence in all aspects of infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and stability.
Own internal platforms and tooling supporting enterprise readiness, scalability, and cost-efficiency (FinOps).
Oversee application lifecycle for both internal-facing tools and client-facing (outbound) applications.
Partner with the rest of R&D and product teams to align technical decisions with business priorities.
Establish engineering best practices across DevOps, data, security, and reliability disciplines.
Foster a culture of experimentation, ownership, and flow within your team.
Requirements: 7+ years of engineering experience, including at least 1-2 roles in a leadership role managing cross-functional technical teams.
Proven track record in DevOps, CloudOps, and Production Engineering, with deep familiarity in cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and container orchestration for scalable infrastructure and modern deployment patterns.
Demonstrated experience in managing FinOps, cost optimization, and enterprise-readiness initiatives.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and stakeholders.
Enthusiasm for the evolving AI-native software development lifecycle and incorporating AI tools into engineering workflows.
