We are seeking a talented, self-driven, team-player, passionate Physicist to join our R&D team. In this role, you will develop and advance distributed fiber optic sensing technologies, combining theoretical modeling, simulations, fiber-optics systems design, and hands-on experimental work. You will tackle complex physical challenges, contribute to next-generation product development, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative solutions from concept to real-world deployment. What Youll Do:
* Experimental and theoretical R&D work for the development of our next generation distributed fiber optic acoustic sensing (DAS) electro-optic interrogation systems.
* Gain unique end-to-end expertise across the full sensing system pipeline, spanning optical signal generation and propagation, coherent detection, DSP algorithms, and advanced data analysis.
* Experimental Work to prove new concepts, develop innovative solutions for new products, and support current generations.
* Develop software tools and simulations ( Python /MATLAB/ C ++) for laboratory experiments, field data analysis, signal processing, and system modeling.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams and projects.
* Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
Requirements: What You Bring:
* MSc or PhD in Physics/Applied Physics/related fields with focus on Electro-Optics and fiber optics (e.g., Electrical Eng.; Optical Eng.).
* Experienced in design and integration of Electro-optics and Fiber Optics systems and components: Optical Fibers, Opt. Amp., Lasers, detectors, Modulators, DWDM for at least 2 years.
* Experience with electro optical noise analysis (phase noise, detector noise, amplifier noise, SNR).
* Strong experimental (hands-on) and theoretical/simulation experience.
* Experience with advanced optical measurement techniques and systems.
* High level Programming in Phyton/MATLAB/ C ++.
* Knowledge in Digital Signal Processing - advantage.
* Experience in telecom optics - advantage.
* system Eng. capabilities and experience - advantage.
* Strong communication skills and excellent individual & teamwork. Ability to manage multiple projects.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Practical experience leveraging GenAI tools in real-world environments.
