We are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D System Scientist to join the System Engineering Stand-Alone team within the Research & Development organization. In this role, you will become an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of physicists and engineers responsible for developing advanced metrology technologies, from early-stage research through product delivery.
The team develops cutting-edge metrology solutions for the semiconductor industry, combining expertise in physics, optics, mechanics, electronics, motion control, algorithms, and software. You will lead complex system investigations, transform customer and business requirements into technical solutions, and drive scientific innovation that directly impacts our next-generation products.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
Perform theoretical and experimental systems engineering to support state-of-the-art new and existing multidisciplinary optical measurement products.
Define, lead, and oversee the implementation of innovative system solutions.
Collaborate with hardware, software, optics, and algorithm engineering teams to deliver multidisciplinary solutions.
Analyze complex datasets and perform advanced statistical evaluations to support product and technology development.
Investigate critical system behaviors, perform root-cause analysis, and establish robust mitigation and calibration methods.
Support product transfer to manufacturing, service, and production organizations while serving as a technical expert for complex challenges.
Translate customer needs and high-level requirements into detailed technical specifications and system designs.
Travel to customer sites worldwide as needed, approximately 2-3 times per year.

We are looking for a highly capable and experienced Technology Director for leading a multidisciplinary technology team in our CTO organization. The team specializes in the development of future physical and mathematical modeling solutions of multiple technologies across all our divisions.
We develop metrology products for the semiconductor industry, allowing measurement of the device geometry (transistors, memory devices etc.) with sub-nanometer accuracy as well as material properties. The ever-shrinking dimensions of devices require a corresponding development of new and improved metrology technologies, which is the responsibility of the CTO group.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the modeling solutions roadmap of future metrology products as well as facilitate cross-divisional technological activities. She/He is expected to lead and develop the team in accordance with the growing needs and challenges the company faces.

As part of this mission, we are looking for a Product Expert to serve as a key technical authority within one of our product lines.
This role is designed for an experienced multidisciplinary professional who enjoys understanding complex systems, connecting technical details into a complete picture, and driving solutions from concept through implementation. Acting as a bridge between R&D, Service and Application teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring product performance, customer satisfaction, and successful delivery.

What You Will Be Doing:
Serve as a senior technical authority and subject matter expert for multidisciplinary system challenges.
Define the optimized solution for the customer, which involves system and application performances
Collect feedback on customer needs and work with software, hardware, and algorithm teams to align the product roadmap.
Drive root-cause analysis and develop effective end-to-end solutions across system, software, hardware and algorithm domains.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and support critical customer and field escalations.
Define and execute validation strategies and effective test plans.
Maintain a broad system-level perspective throughout the product lifecycle, from project initiation through Alpha and Beta testing.
Act as a product super-user, mentoring peers and supporting knowledge sharing across the organization.
Create clear technical documentation and communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional task forces and align multiple functions around technical solutions.
Partner closely with R&D, Application, Service, NPI and Marketing teams to drive successful product outcomes.

Required Acoustics Research Engineer
Why this role exists
Noise - not range, not cost - is what keeps aircraft out of cities. We exist because we believe an acoustic signature roughly four times lower than conventional eVTOLs changes what urban aviation is allowed to be, and this role sits at the exact center of that bet. You will own the methods that tell us, with numbers we can defend, how quiet the vehicle actually is - and where the next decibel comes from.
What you'll own:
Develop and validate source-noise prediction models for our novel lift and propulsion architecture, from first-principles aeroacoustics through empirically anchored corrections.
Design and execute acoustic measurement campaigns in anechoic facilities and at outdoor ranges, owning microphone array design, calibration chains, and data acquisition end to end.
Reduce rig and flight-test acoustic data into validated spectra, directivity maps, and component-level source rankings that directly drive vehicle design decisions.
Quantify community-noise exposure using EPNL, SEL, dBA, and tonality-corrected metrics, and translate the results into hard, testable requirements for design teams.
Build psychoacoustic models - loudness, sharpness, tonality, fluctuation strength - and run jury listening studies that connect physical metrics to human annoyance.
Run aeroacoustic simulations coupling CFD to acoustic analogy solvers (FW-H or equivalent), and reconcile predictions against measured data every design cycle.
Define and defend the vehicle noise budget at design reviews, allocating margins across subsystems and flagging acoustic risk before hardware is built.
Author measurement procedures, test reports, and model validation documents rigorous enough to anchor future certification arguments.
