we are looking for a Electric Propulsion Engineer.
What you'll own:
Design and analyze motor electromagnetics with torque ripple, cogging torque, and radial force harmonics treated as hard requirements alongside efficiency and power density.
Develop inverter modulation and current-control strategies - including harmonic injection and active ripple compensation - that suppress electromagnetic excitation before it becomes radiated tone.
Build and validate multiphysics models chaining electromagnetic force prediction through structural transfer paths to radiated noise, correlated against dyno and vehicle data.
Plan and execute dyno test campaigns with synchronized electrical, vibration, and acoustic instrumentation, owning the data pipeline from raw capture to engineering verdict.
Integrate motors, inverters, and mounts into the vehicle's novel lift and propulsion architecture, working structure-borne transmission paths jointly with the Structures and Acoustics teams.
Characterize thermal behavior on the dyno and derive continuous and peak torque envelopes that hold across the full flight profile.
Define acceptance and qualification test procedures for propulsion units, including back-EMF, efficiency-map, vibration, and acoustic signature checks.
Lead propulsion design reviews and hardware failure investigations, driving root cause to closure with documented corrective actions.
Requirements:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on electric machines, power electronics, or drives.
5+ years designing electric motors or motor drives for demanding applications - aerospace, automotive traction, robotics, or similar.
Deep working knowledge of electric machine noise mechanisms: torque ripple, cogging, radial force harmonics, and PWM sideband tones, and how to design them down.
Hands-on experience with field-oriented control and modulation schemes, including controller implementation and current-loop tuning in MATLAB/Simulink or PLECS.
Proficiency with electromagnetic FEA tools such as ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, or JMAG, including loss and force-harmonic prediction.
Demonstrated dyno or rig test experience: instrumentation selection, data acquisition setup, and debugging real hardware under load.
Strong Python or MATLAB skills for test data reduction, order analysis, and model correlation.
Comfortable owning hardware end to end - requirements through test - in a small team moving at startup pace.
This position is open to all candidates.

we are looking for a Composite Structures Engineer.
What you'll own:
Design composite primary and secondary structure - laminate definitions, ply schedules, core selections, bonded and bolted joints - from concept layout through released engineering definition.
Build, run, and own detailed FEA models for static strength, buckling, and structural dynamics, and keep them correlated against coupon, element, and full-scale test evidence.
Drive vibro-acoustic behavior of the airframe: characterize panel modal density, radiation efficiency, and structure-borne transmission paths, and turn stiffness and damping into deliberate acoustic design levers.
Define and execute structural test campaigns - building-block coupon and element tests, modal surveys and ground vibration tests - including instrumentation plans, test readiness reviews, and post-test model correlation.
Develop material allowables and laminate design values with materials and process engineers, and document the basis for every margin you claim.
Write structural substantiation reports with traceable loads, methods, and margins of safety that will stand up to a certification authority, not just an internal review.
Trade mass against transmission loss and damping treatments directly with the Acoustics team, and defend the structural side of those trades at vehicle-level design reviews.
Support the build: assess layup and tooling feasibility, review first articles, and disposition manufacturing discrepancies on flight hardware.
Requirements:
B.Sc. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; M.Sc. with a structures or structural dynamics focus preferred.
5+ years designing and analyzing composite airframe or primary structure on aircraft, rotorcraft, UAS, or comparable flight vehicles.

Experience carrying structure through physical test - static, fatigue, or modal/GVT - from test planning and instrumentation through post-test reporting.
Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for analysis automation, data reduction, and test-data processing.
Fluency in 3D CAD (CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks) and GD&T, with the ability to release production-ready structural definition.

Train, quantize, and deploy neural perception models on embedded flight compute, owning latency, memory, and power budgets down to the millisecond.
Develop perception for detect-and-avoid: tracking non-cooperative traffic - small UAS, birds, general aviation - at ranges that preserve quiet, gentle avoidance maneuvers.
Stand up the data engine: flight-test data collection, ground-truth generation, dataset curation, and automated regression of model performance across releases.
Validate the perception stack in high-fidelity simulation, sensor replay, and hardware-in-the-loop benches before any algorithm touches the vehicle.
Architect run-time monitoring and assurance around learned components, producing the evidence structure a certification authority can eventually accept.
Support flight test campaigns end to end: integrate and calibrate sensors, analyze logs, and turn every anomaly into a fix or a documented limit within days.
Requirements:
M.Sc. in computer science, electrical engineering, or robotics - or a B.Sc. with equivalent demonstrated depth in perception systems.
4+ years building computer vision or perception software that shipped on real autonomous platforms - aerial, automotive, or robotic.

Deep grounding in state estimation and sensor fusion: Kalman filtering variants, factor-graph optimization, or visual-inertial odometry in production.
Solid geometric computer vision fundamentals - multi-camera calibration, epipolar geometry, structure from motion - not just learned end-to-end models.
Hands-on deep learning for perception in PyTorch, including optimization and deployment to embedded accelerators via TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, or equivalent.
Demonstrated rigor in validating perception systems: ground-truth methodology, failure-mode characterization, and metrics you would defend at a safety review.
Field experience: you have debugged your own algorithms on real hardware outdoors, where the sun, the dust, and the multipath do not care about your test set.
