As the Director of Project Management, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing team of Project Managers dedicated to delivering complex, large-scale Salesforce solutions for our global enterprise clients. You will oversee the strategic execution of the Professional Services portfolio, ensuring that all projects meet rigorous technical and business requirements.
In this role, you will combine a deep understanding of the PS business model with a sharp strategic and commercial mindset. You are not just a delivery governance lead, but a hands-on crisis solver who can step into high-stakes client escalations, rebuild trust, and pivot challenging situations into profitable, long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a team of Project Managers. Drive professional growth through coaching, performance management, and sharpening their client-facing consulting and negotiation skills.
Crisis Management & Escalation Leadership: Serve as the ultimate escalation point for strategic accounts. Actively lead the resolution of critical delivery crises and scope disputes, ensuring projects are brought back on track while maintaining client satisfaction (CSAT) and company reputation.
Commercial & Profitability Safeguarding: Own the financial health of the PS portfolio. Drive deep understanding of project margins, resource utilization, and SOW compliance. Ensure that crisis resolution does not compromise profitability by effectively converting scope gaps into formal, revenue-generating Change Requests.
Delivery Governance & Methodology: Define and standardize agile and hybrid project management methodologies across the Salesforce practice to ensure consistent, predictable, and high-quality delivery.
Resource & Capacity Planning: Strategically allocate Project Managers to client accounts based on expertise, complexity, and workload, ensuring optimal team utilization.
Strategic Stakeholder Management: Foster long-term, trusted-advisor relationships with C-level stakeholders at client organizations. Align Salesforce implementations with their macro business roadmap.
Executive Reporting: Provide the executive leadership team with transparent, high-level visibility into portfolio performance, revenue forecasts, and mitigation plans for potential delivery risks.
Requirements: Experience: 10+ years in Project/Program Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (managing other PMs/Program Managers) strictly within a Professional Services (PS) or Global Consulting environment.
Crisis & Conflict Management: Proven track record of successfully navigating high-stress, complex client crises, turning around failing projects, and managing difficult client dynamics at the executive level.
Deep PS Business Acumen: Mastery of Professional Services business models, financial metrics (margins, utilization, realization), and contract structures (Fixed-Price vs. Time & Materials).
Salesforce Expertise: Deep experience overseeing large-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce implementations (Sales, Service, Marketing, Cloud/Data) from both a delivery and business value perspective.
Leadership & Influence: Exceptional ability to lead, inspire, and drive accountability within a team of managers, as well as influence cross-functional technical teams without direct authority.
Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to articulate complex technical and commercial concepts to non-technical C-suite audiences.
Education: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field. An MBA is a significant advantage.
Certifications
Mandatory: PMP or PgMP certification.
Preferred: Salesforce Certifications (Admin, Consultant, or Architecture level).
This position is open to all candidates.
