we are looking for an experienced software engineer with expertise in Linux kernel and virtualization design + development to join our Future-Computing-Infrastructure expert group. The group designs and develops technologies for the next-generation data center aimed at accelerating AI workloads for a unique HW, optimizing compute resource utilization and reducing data-center costs. What will you be doing?
Design and develop Linux kernel code related to virtual memory management and memory-tiering
Research, design and innovate methods, algorithms and supporting data-structures for managing memory hierarchies in virtualization environments
Participate in research to analyze AI-based applications performance, identify bottlenecks and optimize various decision-making mechanisms based on benchmarking results
Collaborate with professional team members and various global teams around the world on a daily basis
Challenged to think outside of the box and come up with creative ideas to deal with complex challenges within Linux kernel

This is a Software Development Engineer (SDE) role in the engineering team that delivers the sensor (lightweight agent) on various container optimized Linux distros. This role will be part of the team designing and implementing new features in the sensor to secure cloud workloads. The work leverages eBPF and other technologies. These features will extend the power of the Falcon platform to provide seamless visibility, detection, and prevention for container processes running in orchestration environments like Kubernetes.

What You'll Do:

Create and maintain high-performance linux system software components. Analyze complex software features, and build effective test strategies and test designs.

Ensure systems and components reliability and performance through monitoring, testing, and debugging. Debug product issues found through test or customer cases to identify root cause and use the input to improve tests.

Work closely with a team of engineers to support and maintain a culture of high product quality and excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor and cloud solutions. Work collaboratively with product and release management to control risk, improve quality, and streamline our release cycles

Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Participate in engineering best practices, including topics like secure coding, testing paradigms, debugging, performance measurement, code reviews, CI/CD and OS internals, to ensure that our sensor code is fast and reliable

Lead strategic technical initiatives focusing on containers and orchestrators security in both public and private cloud

Were looking for an IoT Embedded Linux engineer to design, build, and own the software stack that powers our edge devices in the field. Youll craft resilient Linux-based systems (from bootloader to application), ensure secure and reliable connectivity to the cloud, and work closely with hardware, manufacturing, and backend teams to deliver production-ready devices at scale.
A Day In Your Life :
Own the embedded Linux platform: BSP, kernel configuration, device tree, bootloaders (e.g., U-Boot), systemd services, and startup/upgrade flows.
Develop user-space applications using object-oriented principles (C++/Go/Rust/Similar) to implement core device logic and features, leveraging available libraries and frameworks.
Build production images using Yocto or Buildroot, manage layers/recipes, and maintain reproducible builds for multiple hardware variants.
Implement secure OTA updates (e.g., Mender, RAUC, SWUpdate), with A/B partitions, rollback, and signing-targeting zero‑touch fleet upgrades.
Harden devices for security: filesystem permissions, sandboxing (e.g., AppArmor/SELinux), secure boot/TPM, key management, CVE tracking, and update policies.
Deliver robust connectivity: Ethernet/Wi‑Fi/Cellular (LTE), BLE gateway roles, MQTT/HTTPS, VPN/WireGuard; optimize reliability, roaming, and reconnection logic.
Instrument and debug in the field: journald, core dumps, remote shell, metrics/health checks; trace with strace/perf/tcpdump and diagnose with Wireshark.
