The Cellular group is looking for an extraordinary Cellular-RF Automation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting robust cellular-RF lab automation solutions and infrastructure, maximising your Python programming expertise to develop advanced test scripts, integrate complex measurement systems, and debug automation failures.
You will apply your strong RF knowledge to ensure reliable cellular performance characterization across silicon validation workflows, working both independently and collaboratively to drive projects from conception to completion.
Your exceptional debugging skills and experience with RF test equipment will be essential in optimizing measurement methodologies and maintaining high-quality automated test environments.
Requirements: BSc in Electrical Engineering
7+ years of experience in RF lab automation development with demonstrable sophisticated system implementations
Advanced proficiency in Python or equivalent programming languages for test automation, with a portfolio of scalable automation frameworks
Exceptional debugging skills with proven ability to troubleshoot complex RF measurement anomalies and automation failures
Deep systems-level understanding of RF signal chains and propagation effects, with expertise in characterizing complex impairments
Strong understanding of RF system parameters, measurement methodologies and wireless communications standards (5G, LTE, etc)
Extensive knowledge of RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and vector signal analyzers
Demonstrated proficiency in diving into extensive codebases, quickly understanding software architecture, and independently navigating through multiple layers of abstraction to diagnose and resolve subtle integration issues
Advanced debugging skills with experience using logging frameworks, profilers, and debugging tools to troubleshoot complex software behaviors in RF automation systems
Demonstrated ability to translate RF system specifications into comprehensive automated test plans that efficiently validate performance across all operating modes and environmental conditions
Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks for predictive analytics, anomaly detection or test optimization is an advantage
