The Role:
We are looking for a backend engineer who can design, build, and operate highly reliable Node.js services on AWS that enable generative?AI capabilities across our products and internal workflows. You will create scalable APIs, data pipelines, and serverless architectures that integrate large?language?model (LLM) services such as Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, and open?source models, enabling teams to safely and efficiently leverage generative AI.

Who You Are:

* You have experience building Retrieval?Augmented Generation (RAG) systems or knowledge?base chatbots.
* You're Hands?on with vector databases such as Pinecone, Chroma, or pgvector on Postgres/Aurora.
* Have AWS certification (Developer, Solutions Architect, or Machine Learning Specialty).
* Experience with observability tooling (Datadog, New Relic) and cost?optimization strategies for AI workloads.
* Background in microservices, domain?driven design, or event?sourcing patterns.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:

* Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js/TypeScript to serve generative?AI features such as chat, summarization, and content generation.
* Build and maintain AWS?native architectures using Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions.
* Integrate and orchestrate LLM services (Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, self?hosted models) and vector databases (Amazon Aurora pgvector, Pinecone, Chroma) to power Retrieval?Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
* Create secure, observable, and cost?efficient infrastructure as code (CDK/Terraform) and automate CI/CD with GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
* Implement monitoring, tracing, and logging (CloudWatch, X?Ray, OpenTelemetry) to track latency, cost, and output quality of AI endpoints.
* Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and front?end teams in agile sprints; participate in design reviews and knowledge?sharing sessions.
* Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, and data governance to ensure responsible AI usage.

What youll be doing
As a BI Engineer on our team, you'll collaborate with talented professionals dedicated to pushing boundaries and creating advanced solutions. You'll also play a key role in pioneering the adoption of cutting-edge AI-driven tools and processes, proactively advocating for innovative solutions, LLM-based scripting, and efficient AI workflows. Your early-adopter mindset will be essential in shaping the future of data-driven excellence at our company.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, tech, finance and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements to build and deliver data infrastructure, reports and insights that meet their needs.
ETL Processes: Develop highly scalable complex data pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources, ensure that data is accurately extracted from source systems, transformed into the required format, and loaded into the data warehouse (DWH) (using DBT, Git). It also includes verification and monitoring of data quality (Elementary).
Implement GenAI solutions: As part of the job, you will implement new solutions and tools to improve the efficiency of the teams, support self-service for the users and provide insights easily, automatically and quickly.
Data modeling: Responsible for the model, design, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the data warehouses, as well as ensuring the integrity and security of data. Support users needs, including performance and monitor cost
Business Analytics Tools: Design and implement BI tools across the company. Troubleshooting and optimizing the tools and systems to improve performance. This includes ensuring that the reports and dashboards are running efficiently and meeting the user's needs (using ThoughtSpot, Hex)
Staying Updated with Industry Trends: Keep up with the latest trends and technologies in data solutions, analytics and business intelligence to ensure that our company stays ahead in leveraging data for business decisions. What you will be doing
As the ML Platform Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of backend engineers building our company's AI infrastructure. Your team bridges research and production, taking cutting-edge ML and generative AI models from our research teams and turning them into scalable systems that power AI features for millions of users.
The ML Platform team owns the complete AI pipeline - from research prototype to production deployment. You'll build and maintain a high-performance inference platform that serves models at scale, enabling faster research iteration and seamless user experiences across our apps.
This role requires both technical leadership and people management skills. You'll make key architectural decisions for complex distributed systems while growing and mentoring your engineering team. Success means delivering reliable, scalable AI infrastructure that supports our rapid growth in a fast-paced environment.

Which Department Will You Work for: You will be part of the Infrastructure group, a team focused on building pipelines and services to manage large volumes of data. These pipelines provide critical data for our company's developers to train and validate neural networks and algorithms. The team works closely with product managers, R&D, and algorithm teams to design scalable systems, ensuring smooth data integration and processing. This is a temporary position for 8 month

Responsibilities
Design and develop end-to-end features used across multiple products and teams.
Build and maintain cross-team systems that support scalability, reusability, and consistency.
Develop and evolve shared UI infrastructure and internal tools.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify platform needs and deliver high-impact solutions.
Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance across all layers of the stack.
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
Provide occasional evening support (e.g., responding to Slack inquiries when needed).

You will be part of our company's REM (Road Experience Management) department which is responsible for the automatic High Definition map-making process, which is a key technology in our company's autonomous driving and high-end Driving Assistance systems. This process involves running advanced algorithmic code in a massively parallel way, utilizing Big Data technologies, and as such is a complex system that requires a deep understanding of our map creation process as well as advanced technical abilities. You will be part of our algorithmic teams, being a key team member and owner of development processes.
