We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team.
You will be at the heart of our engineering efforts, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the high-performance, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions that power our Fintech Compliance and Risk management products.
Working with cutting-edge technologies like Python, Node.js, and AWS, you will build innovative, low-latency, and highly available systems that form the core of our business. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our technical architecture and driving excellence in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Development: Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure backend systems and APIs, primarily using Python.
Cloud Infrastructure: Architect, build, and maintain high-scale solutions on modern cloud platforms (specifically AWS) to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
System Performance: Design and implement services optimized for low-latency processing, high availability, and fault tolerance for mission-critical financial applications.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability.
Product Focus: Develop and enhance Compliance and Risk management products for the Fintech sector, ensuring they meet strict regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Optimization & Reliability: Take ownership of system performance, scalability, and reliability. Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in code and architecture.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers, to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, driving the adoption of new tools and frameworks to solve complex challenges effectively.

Your Impact
Play a key role in building cloud-native security features that protect real-world workloads from malware, secrets exposure, and other threats
Lead the development of major features from product discussions and technical design to implementation and testing
Design and build scalable backend services using Golang and modern cloud-native technologies
Research and integrate new technologies to improve detection, performance, and platform capabilities
Help define best practices and drive engineering excellence across the team.

As part of the Data Infrastructure team, youll help build data platform for our growing stack of products, customers, and microservices.

Our platform ingests and processes data from operational databases, telematics, and diverse product sources. Youll build robust backend services and data processing pipelines, leveraging state-of-the-art frameworks and cloud-native solutions, all while collaborating with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Analysts, and Product Managers to turn real-world needs into resilient systems.

In this role youll:
Design & Develop Backend Services: Lead the design and implementation of backend systems and APIs for our distributed data platform

Build Data Ingestion & Processing: Architect and develop scalable ingestion pipelines with streaming ETL, Change Data Capture, and large-scale batch and stream processing

Own Data Platform Infrastructure: Implement and optimize scheduling, workflow orchestration, and data governance tools to support high-quality, compliant data flows

Drive Engineering Standards: Establish and promote backend best practices, ensuring high reliability, code quality, and maintainability across the team

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, ML engineers, product managers, and analysts to translate business needs into scalable backend systems

Mentorship: Share your backend and infrastructure expertise by collaborating, reviewing, and mentoring fellow engineers.
