We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Team Lead to take ownership of our infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation pipelines.
You will be the technical and operational lead for a small but growing DevOps team, driving reliability, scalability, and security across our cloud environments.
In this role, you will split your time between leading and mentoring the team, designing and evolving infrastructure, and implementing solutions.
What Youll Do
Lead, mentor, and grow the DevOps team.
Define and enforce DevOps best practices across infrastructure, CI/CD, and security.
Manage the SeaPod Lab environment for developer and test usage.
Operate and evolve the SeaPod Server Linux infrastructure, deployed at scale worldwide, handling complex connectivity and security.
Maintain consistent baselines, update tools, and ensure fleet-wide monitoring and support.
Design, manage, and evolve AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, networking, RDS, EKS, etc.).
Operate and upgrade Kubernetes/EKS clusters, manage Helm charts, operators, and custom resources.
Define namespace policies, quotas, and resource allocations.
Drive security, compliance, and cost optimization.
Maintain and enhance GitLab CI pipelines for multiple workloads (Lambda, EKS, EC2, etc.).
Integrate testing, linting, and vulnerability scans into CI/CD workflows.
Build reusable pipeline components for microservices.
Own monitoring and alerting strategies (Grafana, CloudWatch, Coralogix, Prometheus).
Operate and tune PostgreSQL (RDS, Aurora) and manage backups/restores.
Manage distributed tracing. Lead upgrade from Fluentd → OpenTelemetry.
Architect and deploy serverless solutions (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
Integrate with event-driven services (SNS/SQS, Kinesis, RDS Proxy).
Manage IAM roles/policies, secrets, and security posture.

The NOC Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the high availability, reliability, and performance of a company's production systems, infrastructure, and applications. This hybrid role bridges traditional reactive monitoring (Network Operations Center - NOC) with proactive, automated, and software-centric engineering practices (Site Reliability Engineering - SRE).
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Directs 24/7 NOC and SRE teams, managing incident response, service uptime, and operational excellence.
Proactive Monitoring & Observability: Implements monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to track system health via golden signals (latency, traffic, errors, saturation).
Automation and Toil Reduction: Leads efforts to automate repetitive operational tasks and manual troubleshooting to improve system reliability and reduce human error.
Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Oversees the management of critical incidents, ensures timely communication, and performs post-mortem analysis to prevent recurrence.
Team Management & Development: Coaches, mentors, and develops NOC engineers and SREs, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partners with engineering, development, and IT teams to align system performance with business goals and SLA requirements.

This is a 50/50 "Build vs. Run" role. Splitting your time between building modern automation and improving our developer experience and operational excellence, ensuring our production environments are rock-solid, secure, and highly available while managing the live environment from server infrastructure all the way to the application.

Tasks you will take part in:

Design and implement next-generation CI/CD automation flows to streamline the path from "Code" to "Production."
Lead the evolution of our Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) to make our systems more modular and self-service for developers.
Collaborate with backend teams to architect scalable microservices and optimize datastore performance (RDS, MongoDB).

Full ownership of our AWS accounts and multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.

Drive our Observability strategy (Datadog/Grafana) to proactively catch issues before they impact our customers.
Participate in a weekly on-call rotation, serving as the first line of defense for platform reliability.

SecOps & FinOps
Support implementation of security best practices across cloud and CI/CD environments in collaboration with Security stakeholders.
Participate in security incident response processes when relevant.
Own cloud cost visibility and optimization processes, including tagging, monitoring, and ongoing efficiency improvements.
Support business continuity and disaster recovery.
Enforce cost-efficiency policies and guardrails.

People & Process Management
Manage and develop DevOps team.
Establish and improve operational processes to support engineering delivery and production readiness.
Foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Provide operational metrics and updates to engineering leadership.

As platform team leader, you will own and advance core platform and infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, secure, and built to support rapid product innovation. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and DevOps responsible for the foundational systems that power the product, guiding the design and delivery of robust architectures and shared components.
You will drive technical excellence by setting engineering standards, improving system resiliency and performance, and proactively addressing scalability and operational challenges. Working closely with product and other software teams, you will ensure the platform enables fast, high-quality development while meeting the needs of customers at scale.
What will you do:
