Required Business Technology Operations Manager
Whats the job?
Business Technology Operations Manager is a non-technical aspect of cloud service delivery that stems from traditional asset management and aligns with popular IT management frameworks, such as the ITIL service lifecycle. The role aims at systematically understanding how assets and production cloud resources are procured, deployed, maintained, upgraded, measured for utilization and decommissioning cost-effectively.
The Business Technology Operations Manager will be responsible for developing strategies and guidelines for monitoring, measuring, and optimizing cloud assets and production cloud resource utilization, managing cloud costs, and ensuring compliance within. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure computing platforms, Information systems, product delivery ROI measurements, financial management, and IT governance.
This role will lead the BVCoE (Business Value Center of Excellence) as part of our Business Technologies department, working together with Procurement, Finance, Business Applications, product, DevOps, and Budget Administration to bring company-wide governance and awareness for cloud asset business value importance.
What am I going to do?
Develop strategy and guidelines for KPI measurement and Business Value for new and existing cloud assets.
Develop strategy and guidelines for KPI measurement and Business Value of production cloud infrastructure resource utilization.
Develop strategy and guidelines for KPI measurement and Business Value of product delivery ROI measurements.
Implement measurement solutions for IT assets and production cloud infrastructure resource utilization, KPI, and business value.
Maintain a comprehensive inventory of cloud resources.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce cloud assets expenses in cooperation with all relevant technical/business managers.
Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Continually track cloud resource utilization and performance metrics.
Develop strategy and guidelines for systems consolidation.
Identify idle or underutilized resources for optimization or decommissioning.
Manage relationships with cloud service providers.
Continually evaluate cloud provider performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Information Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with cloud cost management tools and techniques.
Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting.
Knowledge of IT governance and compliance frameworks (ITIL).
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python).
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
