We are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Team Leader to join our infrastructure team. As the DevOps Team Lead, you will manage and lead the DevOps team. You will provide strong technical skills, enhance operational efficiency, design and implement scalable systems to keep us running smoothly, and support our significant business growth. You will be part of an innovative, high-performance R&D department, working with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and agile environment.

we are looking for a passionate, experienced and curious DevOps Team Lead to lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex financial infrastructures in a highly regulated environment. The role is a mix of ~30% team leadership and ~70% hands-on engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership (~30%)

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineers, including 1:1s, performance feedback, and professional development
Own team planning, prioritization, and delivery of infrastructure roadmaps
Represent the team in cross-functional discussions and communicate complex solutions to stakeholders
Drive best practices, standards, and knowledge-sharing across the team
Hands-on Engineering (~70%)

Enhance business continuity of Production systems in the finance sector
Develop and deploy critical infrastructure changes to Production
Deploy & manage advanced security solutions to protect high-value trades and transactions
Support an exactly-once, zero-data-loss transaction processing system
Deploy and maintain infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
Design and implement orchestration solutions for dozens of containerized micro-services
Support, improve, and upgrade a continuous deployment environment
Support, improve, and update the DevOps technology stack: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, Python, ELK & more

About the Role You will play a key role in leading and scaling our DevOps team. Your mission is to ensure that our SaaS platform is reliable, scalable, and efficient, while enabling engineering velocity and high-quality delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical depth with team management. You will work closely with R&D and Product to continuously improve our infrastructure, deployment processes, and production operations.

Responsibilities:

* Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps/Infrastructure engineers, including 1:1s, career development, and performance feedback.
* Own the CI/CD pipeline strategy, driving faster, safer, and more reliable deployments across services.
* Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
* Lead the adoption and evolution of Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native microservices architectures.
* Drive observability and reliability practices: monitoring, alerting, logging, incident response, and on-call rotations.
* Define and enforce SLAs/SLOs, and lead root-cause analysis and postmortems for production incidents.
* Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience, build tooling, and reduce deployment friction.
* Own cloud cost, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling decisions.
* Set technical roadmap and priorities for the DevOps function, in partnership with Engineering leadership.

Advantages:

* Certifications in Azure, AWS, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), and FinOps Practitioner.
* Experience with knowledge management or AI/ML-powered SaaS products.

Own the reliability, availability, and performance of our production environment.

Lead high quality effort and long term solutions that will improve stability and resiliency of our production environments.

Work closely with dev teams to review architecture, influence system design, and ensure services are built to be observable and scalable.

Handle capacity planning, system tuning, and infrastructure cost/performance optimization.

Maintain and improve our GitOps-driven deployment pipelines.

This role involves leading a small, high-impact team of DevOps and platform engineers - combining deep infrastructure ownership with platform thinking - building self-service tools and infrastructure that enable R&D teams to move fast and independently.

Stay Hands-On - 60%+ of your time is hands-on: lead architecture reviews, debug critical incidents, and mentor through code and config reviews - you're a player-coach.
