we are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Privacy Legal Counsel with experience in data protection, technology, and cybersecurity to join our legal team. Reporting to the DPO (who is part of the legal team), you will play a central role in shaping, maintaining, and advancing our companys global privacy program, both corporate and client facing.
In this role, you will support customer engagements, drive internal privacy processes, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, and ensure our practices reflect the highest standards of global compliance across privacy and other relevant regulatory and corporate compliance areas. You will be working in an international, fast‑paced, and high‑demand environment, where initiative, ownership, and practical problem‑solving are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate, review, and execute Data Processing Agreements and privacy-related contractual terms.
Support customers and prospects in completing privacy risk assessments, questionnaires, and due‑diligence processes.
Provide ongoing guidance on global data protection laws and compliance requirements.
Review technical, product, and commercial materials to ensure compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
Develop, refine, and maintain internal privacy and data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Conduct proactive internal audits to identify compliance gaps and coordinate remedial actions.
Build and deliver privacy training and awareness initiatives for teams across the company.
Partner with multiple stakeholders in the organization to embed privacy considerations in decision‑making.
Monitor emerging privacy developments and assist in adapting company practices accordingly.
Support and help manage broader compliance projects, policies, and internal processes beyond privacy, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements: 3-5 years of experience practicing privacy and data protection law (top‑tier law firm and/or in‑house experience preferred).
Strong expertise in global data protection frameworks, including deep familiarity with the GDPR, especially in the context of SaaS, technology, and cybersecurity sectors.
Ability and desire to independently learn and develop expertise in new legal fields, as business needs evolve.
Proven project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
Business‑oriented mindset that balances operational needs with legal requirements to provide clear, actionable advice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail; effective legal research capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, multinational environment.
