We are seeking an experienced Control Integration Engineer to take a leading role as a focal point in system -level integration and control of force-sensitive robotic platforms that physically interact with patients. This is a highly hands-on role combining motion control, force control, hardware-software integration, and real-world medical robotics challenges such as soft-tissue interaction, safety, and robustness.
Employment Type: 6-month contract through an outsourcing company, with potential for permanent placement.
Requirements: BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of hands-on experience in control, integration, or robotics system engineering roles.
Proven hands-on experience in robotic systems - mandatory.
Strong understanding of motion control (TwinCAT), drives, motors, encoders, and force/torque sensing.
Hands-on experience with force-controlled or compliant robotic systems.
Experience with Real-Time control architectures and EtherCAT-based motion systems.
Demonstrated ability to bring up, debug, and tune complex electromechanical systems.
Strong analytical thinking, documentation, and communication skills.
Advantageous Skills:
Experience with medical imaging systems and regulated environments.
Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and safety-related control architectures.
Experience working with multi-axis robotic arms or custom robotic mechanisms.
