We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented DBA MS SQL to maintain and enhancing our cloud-based managed database systems.
Responsibilities:
Feature Development: Design, develop, and implement new features within our MSSQL databases to support business requirements.
First-Tier Support: Provide first-tier support for stored procedures that encapsulate core business logic, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
Database Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks on database tables, including adding partitions, indexes, and keys to enhance performance and scalability.
Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and index management.
Migration Management: Handle migration tasks between cloud vendors, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide database solutions.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes.
Requirements: experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MSSQL DBA or in a similar role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedure development.
Performance Tuning: Strong experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
Database Maintenance: Knowledge of database maintenance tasks, including partitioning, indexing, and key management.
Cloud-Based DB Management: Experience with cloud-based managed databases.
Migration Management: Proven experience in handling migrations between cloud vendors.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualificatons:
Experience with database design and data modeling.
Familiarity with database security best practices.
Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
