Staff HW SOC Architect Background: We are establishing a new architecture team focused on defining and designing our next-generation communication platform. This initiative is at the heart of our future product roadmap, driving innovation in high-performance, data -intensive hardware systems.
Role Overview:
Were seeking an experienced SOC Architect to take a leading role in shaping the architecture of complex SoCs used in cutting-edge communications technology. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including system, software, and firmware engineers to develop and validate performance models, explore architectural tradeoffs, and guide data -driven design decisions. This is a high-impact position for a hands-on architect who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering real-world solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and architect the next-generation SOC platform for advanced communication systems Lead performance modeling, analysis, and architectural validation of hardware/software systems Drive architectural decisions based on deep understanding of microarchitecture, workloads, and system constraints Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams throughout the development lifecycle Analyze performance bottlenecks and propose novel improvements at the system level Contribute to long-term architectural roadmap and innovation initiatives.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
BSc/MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in hardware architecture or SOC design.
Strong knowledge of SOC architecture, microarchitecture, pipelining, cache hierarchy, and memory subsystems.
Hands-on experience with CPU, GPU, DSP, ARM, or ASIP architectures. Experience with performance analysis and modeling of hardware/software systems.
Familiarity with VLSI flow, synthesis, power/performance tradeoffs. Proficiency in Python or Matlab (advantage).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience:
Background in Embedded systems, SOC, or networking.
Experience in GPU workload analysis or system -level architecture. Proven ability to lead architectural projects and cross-disciplinary efforts.
