We are looking for a highly motivated backend software engineer specializing in creating high-scale, distributed backend systems.
You must demonstrate strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, extreme ownership, and the ability to accept and give meaningful technical feedback.
You will be responsible for designing architecture, writing correct, robust code, maintaining and improving existing functionality, and shipping new features.
You will work as part of a Scrum-Agile cross-functional team and collaborate with front-end engineers, quality engineers, product managers, and more.

What Youll Do - Responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our team and help build the next generation of our global SaaS platform. You will work on designing and implementing scalable backend services, microservices architecture, and cloud-based solutions that power our enterprise-grade applications. Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express, and modern frameworks.
Design, build, and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications and external services.

What Youll Actually Be Doing
Design, build, test, and deploy backend systems for high-scale financial applications
Lead architecture reviews and drive decisions across technologies and platforms
Write well-tested code and review peers work for quality and clarity
Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Security teams to deliver seamless experiences
Own and improve development lifecycles including CI/CD, observability, and cloud automation
Debug production issues and lead efforts to ensure system reliability and uptime
Contribute to internal documentation and onboarding processes

What Youll Actually Be Doing:
Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js/TypeScript to serve generativeAI features such as chat, summarization, and content generation.
Build and maintain AWS native architectures using Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions.
Integrate and orchestrate LLM services (Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, self hosted models) and vector databases (Amazon Aurora pgvector, Pinecone, Chroma) to power Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
Create secure, observable, and cost efficient infrastructure as code (CDK/Terraform) and automate CI/CD with GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
Implement monitoring, tracing, and logging (CloudWatch, XRay, OpenTelemetry) to track latency, cost, and output quality of AI endpoints.
Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and frontend teams in agile sprints; participate in design reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, and data governance to ensure responsible AI usage.
