We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Wireless Ranging Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Wireless Ranging Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge signal processing and system solutions for wireless ranging applications, specifically focusing on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ranging. You will work on complex problems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimise both hardware (HW) and software (SW) solutions.
Description
- Design and Develop Wireless Ranging Systems: Collaborate with engineers to design and develop advanced wireless ranging systems using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
- Signal Processing: Implement low-level signal processing algorithms in both hardware (HW) and firmware (FW), as well as algorithms for range calculation.
- System Optimisation: Analyse and optimise system performance, including latency, accuracy, and power consumption, to meet project requirements.
- Hardware and Software Integration: Work closely with HW and SW engineers to integrate ranging solutions into existing platforms and develop new custom systems.
- Validation and Testing: Test prototypes of wireless ranging systems in the lab, conducting thorough evaluations using various RF testers, and identifying and resolving issues.
- Architecture: Create detailed technical architecture, including design specifications and system layouts for new projects.
- Interaction: Interact frequently with various teams, including firmware, software, hardware, and product management, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Data Analysis: Deal with and analyse large datasets, debug data, and draw insights to improve system performance.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in communication/signal processing/ranging.
Deep understanding of RX and TX MODEM and RF chains.
Deep knowledge of Wireless communication systems.
System level understanding - ability to comprehend and contribute to multi-disciplinary process employing HW, signal processing and SW.
Analytical skills - ability to triage a problem root cause in a complex system
Familiarity and ability for SW/FW coding.
Familiarity with lab test equipment.
BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or relevant fields.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of MAC systems - an advantage.
