As an Algorithms Researcher, you'll join a team that explores the vast collection of relevant data and creates the optimization algorithms that drive our mass scale, complex, multi-dimensional automated dispatch.
What You'll Do:
Mathematically model the competing demands on our system.
Develop online algorithms for real-time decision-making, focusing on optimizing system utilization while maintaining a high quality of service for riders.
Design and implement highly efficient and scalable algorithmic solutions to power decision-making systems under large-scale, real-world operational demands.
Use sophisticated statistical methods to analyze demand, traffic and fleet performance, and generate insights that inform algorithm development.

our company is a cutting-edge national facility supporting our computing research and development for both academia and industry. the iqcc is managed and operated by our machines (qm), the global leader in quantum computing control systems. our state-of-the-art lab includes advanced infrastructure with several dilution refrigerators and a wide array of quantum and classical devices.
the iqcc offers unique opportunities for talented phd students seeking an internship opportunity at a world-class facility. we are looking for brilliant, versatile, and fast-learning interns with a strong can-do attitude to become a part of the core iqcc team, working on a our computer with 20+ superconducting qubits, assisting in its calibration, integration and assembly, through qms opx1000 control platform. he/she will gain unique experience with the worlds top cryogenic systems and participate in cutting edge research projects with the leaders of industry and academia. the ideal candidate should have experience working with our systems and should be ready to move to israel to work on-site in the iqcc for a period of 4-6 months.
responsibilities:
support the calibration and optimization of superconducting qubits chip
participate in research projects that aim to develop new calibration protocols for faster and higher quality gates
gain a deep understanding of our state-of-the-art control system
assist in the day-to-day operation of the lab.

we are looking for a physicist with peer-reviewed scientific contributions in information science and computing, who can quickly grasp the essence of complex experiments and has a passion for solving intricate problems across the entire stack. the candidate should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
as a physicist, you will contribute to developing novel multi-qubit calibration schemes. you will work in a small multi-disciplinary team with an immediate goal to enable seamless computing over the cloud with multiple technologies. this includes enhancing the performance of the qpu, developing higher level tools and frameworks, supporting the development and optimization of the user interface, creating documentation and directly communicating with users.

actively contribute to the creation, maintenance and optimization of automated calibration graph based on machines hardware and software.
delve into deep and novel physical problems and contribute to a fast and effective solution, while driving technology forward.
contribute to adaptation of new technologies at the iqcc.
contribute to the maintenance and development of our unique calibration software.
onboard customers to the iqcc and work with them to meet their needs and materialize their research ideas.
support lab maintenance and development of the physical systems.
actively contribute to documentation to enable easy onboard process for iqcc customers.
