We are seeking a motivated junior system engineer to join our R&D team. This part-time position is suitable for students passionate about data analysis and machine learning. You will play a crucial role in leading data investigations in various projects, particularly those related to data analytics within our connected devices product line. You will perform analysis on extremely large data sets that reach our Cloud Data Platform from our install base with millions of connected devices. This position will provide you practical experience in data science while contributing to impactful projects aimed at improving animal care and management. * Contribute to the design and execution of field tests, including proof of concept testing and dedicated data collection trials.
* Work with our Snowflake platform and additional DB data sources to perform root cause analysis for abnormalities in behavior of our install base.
* Help in the preprocessing of data and the creation of visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
* Work with others to deliver routine and automated dashboard views of data analysis
* Support the integration of new BI tools and data sets with cloud-based platforms.
* Participate in technical discussions to present your analysis where you will be expected to give fresh perspectives and recommend on further analysis steps.
Requirements: * Graduate or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Familiarity with data analysis tools and platforms such as Snowflake and knowledge in programming languages including Python, SQL, Jupiter Notebook, with a willingness to learn new tools and expand the knowledge in those languages.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong desire to learn and innovate in a fast-paced environment.
* Enthusiastic about the way that connected devices communicate and operate with the Cloud environment.
* Organized, self-motivated, and capable of focusing on key priorities.
* A hands-on approach with a “Can-do” attitude. Advantages:
