Your role and responsibilities:
Your role as Sales Engineering with a focus on FinOps is to engage your clients/partners with an opinionated point of view as a hands-on practitioner and brand specialty solution expert.
Your deep knowledge of IT Automation, experience with FinOps, AIOps, APM & ARM, and a deep understanding of client requirements place you in a unique position of influence and value for your clients/partners.
As a practitioner, you will show and prove how our IT Automation technology addresses client/partner needs and delivers value.
You will work with our client teams and partners to identify opportunities, remove technical inhibitors, and progress technical sales resulting in client success and Automation growth.
A Sales Engineer for IT Automation will demonstrate the following capabilities:
Experience with IT Automation solutions and a deep level of technical skills in FinOps, AIOps, Application Performance Monitoring (APM) & Application Resource Management (ARM) solutions
Experiential selling including co-creation with clients and hands-on selling methods such as demos, custom demos, proofs of concept, minimum viable products (MVPs), or other technical proofs
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with clients and sales professionals
Experience successfully engaging with clients to identify, progress, and win technology sales opportunities
Experience working in cross-functional teams and a matrix management organization.

Required technical and professional expertise:
Few years of professional work experience in DevOps / FinOps / IT Monitoring / AIOps / Application Performance Monitoring / Enterprise Resource Management, which includes:
- Technical implementing
- Presenting IT solutions in front of clients, during technical meetings, and on video calls
- Experience in preparing and delivering software demos in front of customers, during technical and business meetings, and on video calls
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills
Preferred technical and professional experience
Architecting and designing of FinOps, Observability, or Enterprise Resource Management solutions
Proficient in programming with languages like Java, Node.js, Python, Groovy, Ansible, TypeScript, Bash script, and PowerShell.
Knowledge of application architectures for modern and legacy workloads
DevOps Tools (e.g. Ansible, Azure Pipeline, Git, Jenkins, JFrog, Terraform)
Container Platform (e.g. Kubernetes, RedHat Openshift)
Knowledge of FinOps methodology and culture
Experience with IBM Automation offerings like Turbonomic, Apptio Cloudability/One, AIOps, Instana, or from other ISV's offerings like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, BMC, and others.
