A cutting-edge deep-tech startup is looking for a Senior Backend / Full-Stack Developer (backend-leaning) to join its core engineering team and help build advanced vision intelligence systems for early threat detection - including drones, boats, and other targets at the edge of visibility.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, working across the stack, solving complex engineering challenges, and building meaningful real-world technology.
What youll do:
Own and build backend services in a distributed, event-driven system
Develop real-time data pipelines between edge devices and operator systems
Design and evolve core system architecture and data flows
Build and maintain features in Vue 3 + TypeScript when needed
Develop and scale a large, production-grade TypeScript codebase
Drive reliability, performance, and scalability in production systems
Work closely with product and engineering in a highly hands-on environment
Requirements: 5+ years of production backend engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript + NestJS (must)
Strong experience with Vue 3 (must)
Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
Strong experience with MongoDB (Mongoose), Redis, RabbitMQ
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) and Docker-based deployments
Ability to independently design and deliver end-to-end systems
Strong engineering judgment and ownership mindset
Experience working in large-scale, evolving production systems
Nice to have:
Real-time streaming systems (RTSP / WebRTC / HLS / DASH)
Geospatial / IoT / telemetry-heavy systems
Background in mission-critical / defense / security domains
