OpenShift Virtualization team is looking for an engineer to join its quality assurance team. In this role, you will work on OpenShift Container Platform, built on Kubernetes, KubeVirt and plethora of other open-source projects. You'll be responsible for the quality of its virtualization and networking functionality, including designing test plans, extending automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests. You will make sure our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will gain a deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies, including Virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, etc.

What you will do:
As part of a geographically distributed team, work with other software and quality engineers on design and implementation of features crossing multiple components within the product.
Implement and execute manual and automated tests for OpenShift Virtualization and deliver clear status in a timely manner.
Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks, CI and scripts with Python for testing and implementation.
Explore, identify and document new bugs. Advocate for the resolution of bugs and communicate the impact on customers to developers and support.
Coordinate cross components teams to be responsible for bug verification and regression testing.
Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies.
Work in a fast-paced Agile global environment of talented Quality Engineers.
Requirements: Experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
Familiarity with testing methodologies and techniques.
Experience working in a Linux environment with at least one language like Go, Python, Java, or C/C++.
Experience with Linux system programming or scripting.
Work experience in networking, virtualization and containers is a plus.
Experience with CI/CD tooling is a plus.
Experience contributing to open source is a plus.
Experience working in an agile environment is a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
