The Manufacturing Team Manager at Rapid-Medical will oversee the NPI and production processes of the Drivewire, ensuring smooth transformation from the development stage to manufacturing, working on high-quality manufacturing standards and efficiency. This role involves managing a team of skilled technicians, driving process improvements, expanding and increasing manufacturing capacity and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and quality. Responsibilities:
* Oversee the transition from development to full-scale production, including validation, process design, and documentation to ensure successful product launch.
* Lead and manage the Manufacturing Team, ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality output.
* Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to optimize productivity and reduce waste, focusing on continuous improvement.
* Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as necessary to meet customer demands and deadlines.
* Collaborate with R&D to develop new products and improve existing ones, ensuring manufacturability from the onset.
* Establish and maintain safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
* Analyze production metrics and prepare reports for upper management to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements: * 3-5 years of experience in NPI and manufacturing management in the medical industry - preference to experience with small and delicate products.
* Proven people management experience.
* Technical background and strong technical sense.
* Experience in designing and improving manufacturing processes.
* Ability to read, interpret and improve mechanical drawings.
* Previous experience working on production lines.
* Hands-on competence with machines, tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges).
* Technical English (written and spoken).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* Knowledge of Priority or other ERP system an advantage.
* Practical Engineer or equivalent degree an advantage.
* Knowledge of medical devices regulations (ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA) an advantage.
