What you will be doing
As the ML Platform Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of backend engineers building our company's AI infrastructure. Your team bridges research and production, taking cutting-edge ML and generative AI models from our research teams and turning them into scalable systems that power AI features for millions of users.
The ML Platform team owns the complete AI pipeline - from research prototype to production deployment. You'll build and maintain a high-performance inference platform that serves models at scale, enabling faster research iteration and seamless user experiences across our apps.
This role requires both technical leadership and people management skills. You'll make key architectural decisions for complex distributed systems while growing and mentoring your engineering team. Success means delivering reliable, scalable AI infrastructure that supports our rapid growth in a fast-paced environment.

This role is a critical part of our companys Map Release team, which is a core function within the broader our company's Road Experience Management (REM) organization. Our mission is to provide the Autonomous Vehicle with highly accurate, validated maps that allow it to maneuver flawlessly and safely on the road, while rigorously verifying their integrity and quality. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with our AV, Product, and R&D Teams to deliver these essential components. We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Release Manager to own and lead the software release lifecycle across our organization. This role requires a combination of deep technical understanding, strong leadership, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure high-quality, predictable, and timely deployments. The ideal candidate will act as the crucial liaison between development, QA, and operations, managing conflict and driving adherence to release processes.
What will your job look like:
High-impact role where you'll define the cadence and quality of our product delivery. You'll work directly with top technical talent and have the autonomy to implement the best practices required to scale our engineering operations.
Define, document, and manage the end-to-end release process, ensuring consistency and predictability across all environments.
Manage and communicate risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies related to releases.
Maintain a high-level technical understanding of the core product interaction points between various software components.
Drive best practices for Git branching strategies, specifically managing release, stable, and cascading branches to maintain code integrity and stability.
Serve as the central point of contact, facilitating cross-functional coordination between engineering, QA, product, and operations team leads.
Effectively manage and resist pressure from various team leads and stakeholders regarding scope, schedules, and priorities.
Utilize Python proficiency to develop and maintain automation scripts, tooling, and utilities that streamline the release process and improve efficiency.
