We are seeking a Senior Worldwide Specialist Solutions Architect focused on AI Infra to work with our customers, predominantly ISVs and Startups.
The WWSO AI Infrastructure team is the go-to partner that delivers the architecture, deployment, and optimization guidance required for self-managed workloads. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record of customer obsession and delivering results. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges in AI.
Key job responsibilities
Design Customer Solutions
Collaborate with the wider teams to help customers and partners architect AI, ML, and HPC(+) Solutions that leverage our Services.
Engage with Solution Architects, Account Managers, Professional Services, and Partners to define an engagement strategy for our operational territories and key accounts, with emphasis on ISV and startup segments.
Thought Leadership - Provide thought leadership on solutions that benefit customers through the use of our Services. This takes the form of contribution to external publications such as the Compute and Accelerated Compute Blogs, whitepapers, and reference architectures, as well as internal training of Solutions Architects, Professional Services Consultants, Technical Account Managers, and our Trainers.
Serve as a key member of the business development and account team in helping to ensure customer success in building AI infrastructure in our company.
Assist solution providers with the definition and implementation of technical and business strategies.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the worldwide our solution architect community.
Understand our market segments, and industry verticals.
Understand and exploit the use of internal business support systems.
Requirements: Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
- Deep HPC experience for workloads in a domain such as CAE, Weather Simulation, oil and gas, automotive / aerospace, financial services or pharmaceuticals.
- Experience in architecting an HPC system and infrastructure with orchestration schedulers (e.g. Slurm, Torque, Symphony or GridServer), parallel file systems (Lustre, IBM Spectrum Scale).
- Experience in deployment, tuning, benchmarking and management of HPC technologies in a multi-user environment.
- Deep GPU knowledge in HPC and/or AI/ML frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
- Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, storage, network, security, database administration and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in Kubernetes, Docker or containers ecosystem, or experience in software development.
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent.
