As a DevOps Engineer you'll:
Evolve and maintain our cloud infrastructure, delivery and observability - and the self-service platforms above them - so they serve our business strategy and let scientists and developers work on their own as we grow at scale.
Develop and adopt tools, with AI at the center, that make development and operations processes measurably more efficient.
Partner with the engineering teams behind our platform and its API to improve service performance, reliability, scale, security and cost.
Keep production available to its SLOs - taking your turn on the on-call rotation and following each incident through to whatever stops it from happening again.
Work as part of the team: share what you know, learn from the people around you, and help us keep improving how we work together.

We're looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to own our infrastructure end to end- both sides of it.
Side one is our multi-tenant SaaS on AWS: you build it, you run it, you keep it fast, secure, and up. Side two is the part that makes this role unusual - our enterprise customers deploy Avon AI inside their cloud (and sometimes fully air-gapped, on-prem environments). You'll own that too: packaging the platform, running the installation with the customer's infrastructure and security teams, and being the person on the call when their environment doesn't look like anyone's reference architecture.
This is a customer-facing engineering role. You'll be in rooms with enterprise IT, security, and platform teams- walking them through our architecture, answering security review questions, and unblocking deployments. If you want a pure behind-the-scenes infra job, this isn't it. If you like owning infrastructure and being the trusted technical voice in front of a customer, read on.
You'll be our first dedicated DevOps hire, which means you inherit real systems in production and a lot of room to shape how they evolve.
Key Responsibilities
EKS, networking, data stores, CI/CD, cost, and uptime. Build and evolve it with Infrastructure as Code.
Maintain and improve our Helm charts and container distribution so Avon AI installs cleanly in a customer's Kubernetes cluster.
Plan and execute installations in customers' private clouds and on-prem/air-gapped environments, working hands-on with their infrastructure teams from kickoff through go-live.
Support security reviews and architecture discussions, and translate enterprise IT constraints back into our roadmap.
IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, WAF, and the controls enterprise customers audit us on.
Metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting for our SaaS, and self-contained monitoring for customers who won't ship telemetry outside their network.
CI/CD pipelines, ephemeral PR sandboxes, release automation, and local development so engineers ship quickly and safely.
For our SaaS tenants and for deployed customer installations, including on-call ownership of what you build.

We're hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. This role suits someone who has already spent real time operating cloud-native infrastructure at scale - not someone looking to break into the field. You'll bring a GitOps mindset, hands-on Kubernetes depth, and the independence to research and learn new tools quickly in a fast-moving, large-scale environment.
Design, operate, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS) at scale
Manage application delivery and infrastructure using GitOps tools (ArgoCD/Flux)
Build and maintain Helm charts and Kustomize overlays for multi-environment deployments
Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Crossplane
Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for build, test, and deployment workflows

Write automation scripts and tooling in Python, Go, or Bash to streamline operations

Support AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and regions, including networking, IAM, compute, and storage services
Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production incidents, and drive root-cause analysis
Collaborate with Platform, Security, and Application Engineering teams on infrastructure design and reliability improvements.

About the role:
Our DevOps team operates the infrastructure that powers our AI and Computer Vision platform across construction sites in 15+ countries. From data pipelines and ML workloads to backend services - you'll work with a diverse, modern, Kubernetes-based stack and have real influence on how we build, deploy, and operate.
What you'll do:
Own Multi-Cloud Infrastructure: Work alongside the team to design, scale, and operate our high-scale, multi-region production infrastructure across AWS and GCP, powering construction sites globally.
Drive Kubernetes at Scale: Manage and evolve our Kubernetes platform on EKS and leveraging GitOps practices with ArgoCD and Helm to enable safe, fast, and reliable deployments.
Build Robust CI/CD: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that empower dozens of engineers to ship confidently - with automation, testing, and progressive delivery built in.

As a Platform DevOps Engineer for us, you will lead DevOps for our SaaS product. You will serve as the products primary DevOps owner, with end-to-end responsibility for infrastructure, Production availability, reliability, and development and deployment workflows. Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end cloud-native infrastructure for us, including Development, Test, and Production environments.

We need a Director to set the strategy for everything underneath it - cloud, security, and the delivery lifecycle - and to bring AI into how that infrastructure is run.

This is a director-level leadership role, not an IC stretch assignment. You will lead our DevOps organization - which already has a team leader running day-to-day delivery - and operate one level up: setting direction, owning the roadmap, making architecture and build-vs-buy calls with authority, and representing infrastructure at the leadership table. Own FinOps as a strategic discipline: the cloud bill is a P&L line you're accountable for, with unit economics driven down every quarter.

Lead the DevOps organization through its team leader: set technical direction and standards, develop the team leader into a stronger manager, and grow the bench beneath them.
