This Team owns the core data plane infrastructure for all NAT-based products within the Andromeda network stack (e.g., private service connect (PSC) and Cloud network address translation (NAT). Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software for our Cloud's core networking and secure connectivity platforms.
Manage complex scalability, resource efficiency, and performance optimization challenges to evolve our cloud networking datapath.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering partners to define and build new network architectures and routing methods.
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring high engineering velocity and robust code quality.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing the network simulation service. You will enhance the simulator performance and quality and scale it to support massive loads, additional clients and unique use cases. You will work on integrating this infrastructure with cloud computation services and ensure the simulation is available as a service for AI agents and internal customers. What you'll be doing:

Design and develop simulation capabilities, integrating internal and external libraries and maintaining a clean, scalable architecture for a complex SW project.

Expand the simulation versatility to accommodate advanced use cases and bleeding-edge requirements. Provide innovative solutions to scalability and fidelity trade offs of the simulator.

Improve the quality of the simulation as a software product, ensuring robustness and reliability.

Expose the simulation as a service to facilitate easier access for different stakeholders.

Requirements:
What we need to see:

BSc or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant practical experience in software development, including significant work on a large-scale software system with strict performance considerations.

Proficiency in C++ and Python with knowledge of optimization techniques for improving system performance.

In-depth knowledge of computer science fundamentals, and computer architecture.

Excellent system perspective - you must be able to grasp the impact each layer on the system and the users.

Independent and motivated individual with strong communication skills.


Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Development experience in a large, multidisciplinary simulation environment with many collaborators and diverse technical challenges.

Familiarity with discrete event simulators (e.g., OMNeT++, SystemC, or proprietary architectural simulators).

Knowledge of multi-core computation, code parallelization and relevant technologies (e.g. MPI).

Prior experience with cloud computing and parallelization of computational workloads.

Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and integrating services.
