The Technical Program / Project Manager will oversee, orchestrate, and manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex enterprise cloud solutions, with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cutting-edge Generative AI (Gen AI) initiatives.
This role requires a strategic, highly skilled leader who can navigate technical constraints and system integrations within highly secure, classified, and high-pressure environments (preferably within the defense sector). The ideal candidate will seamlessly bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, combining deep technical understanding with expert-level proficiency in program methodologies, rigorous budget control, and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Large-Scale Project Management: Lead and orchestrate complex, multi-faceted programs and large-scale projects within enterprise and defense environments from inception to deployment.
Financial Control & Resource Allocation: Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project budgets and financial tracking. Ensure strict budget control, optimal resource allocation, and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Business Analysis & Product Characterization: Conduct deep systems analysis, capture complex business requirements, and author comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and technical characterization specifications.
Gen AI & Cloud Delivery: Drive the execution and delivery of innovative Generative AI (Gen AI) projects and advanced AWS cloud infrastructure solutions.
Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary focal point for enterprise and defense clients; manage high-level stakeholder relationships, conduct regular briefings, and ensure alignment between technical teams and senior management.
Integration & Security Compliance: Oversee intricate system integration processes. Collaborate closely with cloud architects, data scientists, security teams, and compliance officers to manage auditing processes and maintain the highest levels of regulations/security.
Risk & KPI Monitoring: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project delivery in high-pressure environments. Utilize advanced tools to track project health, timelines, and KPIs, implementing robust contingency plans when needed.
Requirements: Enterprise Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects and programs within Enterprise-grade companies or defense environments.
Financial Oversight: Proven experience in budget management, financial tracking, and resource allocation for large-scale technological projects.
Technical Systems Analysis: Proven track record in systems analysis, including a strong background in writing detailed business/technical characterization documents.
Gen AI Hands-on Track Record: Proven experience leading and delivering Generative AI (Gen AI) projects, LLM integrations, or cognitive search solutions.
Cloud & Integration Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies and architectural patterns, alongside practical experience managing complex system integration processes.
Methodologies & Tools: Proficiency in Agile/Scrum/Waterfall methodologies and hands-on experience with enterprise management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Salesforce).
Soft Skills: Exceptional client-facing, leadership, and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate matrixed enterprise environments and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Certifications:
Cloud: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Project Management: PMP, PgMP, or Agile/Scrum Master certifications.
