What You'll Do:
As a Backend Engineer on our Core Platform team, you will:
Design and build shared platform components used across multiple product teams, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
Architect distributed systems using microservices and event-driven patterns that support enterprise-scale workloads
Own critical backend services from conception through deployment, including code quality, performance optimization, and operational excellence
Collaborate extensively with product engineers, DevOps, and architects to define platform capabilities and technical standards
Drive technical initiatives that improve developer productivity, system observability, and platform resilience
or backend development across the organization
Analyze system performance and data patterns to identify optimization opportunities and inform future platform investments

About the Role:
As a Senior Platform Engineer (Backend), you will play a key role in shaping the core infrastructure and architecture of our platform. You will be deeply involved in hands-on development, contribute to technical design, and help drive engineering excellence. In this role, you will collaborate with other engineers, share best practices, and take part in building scalable, high-quality backend systems.
Your responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test cloud-native microservices and backend components with high standards of scalability, reliability, and security
Own key areas of the platform's infrastructure and contribute to the architecture of enterprise-grade systems
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions
Work across a modern tech stack including cloud services, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Drive best practices in code quality, system design, observability (logs, metrics, tracing), and testing
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and help evaluate tools that support platform evolution
Share knowledge through code reviews and technical discussions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

What Youll Do:

Architect and build scalable backend services that scan millions of cloud resources daily across multi-cloud environments.

Design and implement distributed systems that process massive volumes of security data with high reliability and low latency.

Develop agentless scanning capabilities for vulnerability detection, configuration assessment, and data security across cloud workloads.

Collaborate cross-functionally with security researchers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver features that customers love.

Own features end-to-end - from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architectural discussions, and mentoring team members.

Solve complex challenges in cloud security, data processing, and distributed systems at enterprise scale.
