As a Backend Engineer, you build the scalable, resilient engine that powers the platform. Your mission is to design and implement high-performance services that handle massive scale, ensuring data integrity and system reliability for thousands of brands. Working within a product team, you will translate complex business logic into robust architectural solutions, ensuring that our infrastructure can scale as fast as our customers do.

Key Responsibilities

Distributed Systems Design: Design and build microservices and event-driven architectures that are resilient, scalable, and maintainable. You will make critical decisions on synchronous vs. asynchronous communication and data consistency.
Data Mastery: Manage the lifecycle of data across our platform. You will design efficient database schemas (SQL & NoSQL) and optimize query performance to handle high-throughput workloads.
Operational Excellence: Embrace the You Build It, You Run It philosophy. You will own your services in production, implementing observability (logging, tracing, metrics) to detect issues before our customers do.
API Craftsmanship: Build clean, secure, and well-documented APIs (REST/GraphQL) that serve as the contract between our backend services and the frontend experience.

We are looking for Senior Engineers who treat AI as a core part of their workflow - people who experiment, iterate, and know how to get real value out of AI tools. Flexibility, curiosity, and a problem-solving mindset are must-haves. In this role you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the development of groundbreaking, AI-driven products and work on interesting projects inside a smart, fun, and dynamic engineering team.

This position is based out of our Jerusalem or Tel-Aviv offices and reports to the Dev Team Lead.

What you will be responsible for
Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.
Ensure that the projects you work on meet business objectives and coding standards.
Support the deployment and testing of new products and features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
Design and implement APIs and integrations with third-party services to enhance system functionality.
Optimize application performance through code profiling, monitoring, and refactoring as necessary.
Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure code robustness and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to foster continuous improvement.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
Assist in the establishment and enforcement of development standards and coding conventions.

We seek a skilled Senior Infra Backend Engineer to join our R&D office in Tel Aviv, working in a hybrid and flexible model.
Youll collaborate with a top-tier R&D team and take your professional growth to the next level. Our backend infra teams work mainly with Python and Go, but we welcome talented backend engineers from any language background.

Researching and running POCs of new technologies to select the optimal solution for system requirements.

Migrating massive amounts of user-level data into Iceberg, while keeping scale and cost efficiency in mind.

Designing and implementing a robust pipeline capable of ingesting billions of real-time events daily (hundreds of thousands per second).

Exploring and choosing database and streaming technologies to support a rapidly growing clientele base.

Leading the design and development of a new streaming ETL product with low memory footprint and efficient processing.
