ART MEDICAL is a well-funded medical startup transforming ICU care through advanced technology and innovation. Our smART+™ platform is an intelligent, sensor-based solution that optimizes nutrition delivery while reducing the risks of ventilator-associated pneumonia and malnutrition. Supported by clinical trials, we are setting a new standard in critical care by achieving nearly 100% feeding efficiency and reducing ICU stays by an average of 3.3 days. We are looking for a talented student to join our growing team. This is entry-level position, no previous experience is required! Our office is located in Netanya (close to a train station) and the role is part-time. Role & Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and bring up experimental and benchmark systems to support evaluation and comparison of alternative technical solutions.
* Perform system-level testing and evaluation, including definition of test setups, execution of experiments, and collection of measurement data.
* Analyze sensor signals, including optical absorption signals and flow signals, using offline and real-time analysis tools.
* Develop and use analysis scripts and tools for signal processing, visualization, and performance assessment.
* Participate in the definition of electronic system architecture, including component selection, characterization, and evaluation of alternative components.
* Support prototype development activities, including assembling electronic circuits on breadboards or custom hardware and debugging hardware issues.
* Document experimental setups, test results, and analysis outcomes in clear technical reports.
* Prepare and deliver technical summaries, presentations, and recommendations based on experimental findings.
* Collaborate closely with system, electronics, and algorithm engineers to support iterative design improvements.
Requirements: * 3rd or 4th year B.Sc. student in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
* Strong hands-on experience working in an electronics laboratory environment, including use of oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and data acquisition equipment.
* Practical experience building and debugging electronic prototypes using breadboards and custom hardware.
* Solid understanding of electronic system architecture, including component selection, evaluation, and trade-off analysis.
* Experience acquiring analog and digital signals and performing signal processing and analysis, preferably using tools such as MATLAB or Python.
* Familiarity with real-time or offline analysis tools for evaluating sensor signals.
* Ability to design, execute, and document experiments, including benchmark system setup, system evaluation, alternative solutions bring-up, and comparative analysis.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate experimental data into clear conclusions, technical reports, and presentations.
* Demonstrated experience in system-level testing, validation, and performance evaluation of electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
* Background in integrating hardware and software components, including debugging of system-level issues.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary development environments involving electronics, software, and system engineering.
* Proven ability to work independently on technical tasks while effectively collaborating within a team.
