As the Application Infrastructure Team Lead within our Backend Infrastructure group, you will be pivotal in technological leadership and team management. Heres how you will contribute and lead:
Enhance Developer Experience - Oversee the development and continuous improvement of tools, services, SDKs, and libraries essential for our development teams. Your leadership will focus on creating a seamless and scalable development environment.
Tackle Scalability Challenges - Lead efforts to design and maintain robust infrastructure capable of handling significant scalability challenges, ensuring system resilience and capability to support large-scale operations.

We are looking for an experienced Backend Team Lead to lead and grow a mixed-level engineering team, including junior and senior developers, responsible for building and scaling core backend services of a complex, cloud-based platform. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, technical ownership, and architectural decision-making. You will play a key role in guiding the teams technical direction while actively contributing to development.

Our primary backend stack is Go and Java, with a strong emphasis on Java Spring Boot. In addition, we are launching a new Python-based project, where you will bring prior Python experience and lead the technical direction, as the team currently has limited Python background.

Our DevOps team is responsible for the Resident platforms end-to-end, from cloud infrastructure to production delivery. We build and operate the systems that enable engineering teams to move fast and safely, while ensuring high standards of reliability, security, performance, and scalability. Through automation, strong architecture, and secure-by-design practices, we continuously improve how we deploy, monitor, and protect our production environments.

What you will be doing:

As the sole DevSecOps owner within the DevOps team, you will take end-to-end responsibility for improving the security of our cloud and production environments. You will design and implement security controls across AWS/GCP- from hardening infrastructure and securing Kubernetes to ensure our platform stays secure as it scales.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as DevOps, R&D, Product, and Data to embed security into the way we build software.
