We are looking for an outstanding Web QA Hands-On Team Lead to drive the quality strategy for our educational apps. You’ll define testing standards, lead QA across products, and ensure top-quality releases. Working in an Agile/Scrum setup, you’ll collaborate with Product and Dev teams to deliver smooth, user-friendly learning solutions, while setting QA guidelines, enforcing processes, and leading continuous improvement. Responsibilities include: QA Strategy : Define and implement QA standards and test plans across projects. Test Execution : Lead manual and automated testing (functional, regression, exploratory, performance, security, integration) for our Web apps. Automation Leadership : Build and maintain automated test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium) from scratch, integrate with CI pipelines (Bitbucket), and mentor the team on automation best practices. Collaboration & Shift-Left : Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to embed QA early, review requirements, and enforce quality gates in CI/CD. Metrics & Reporting : Track QA metrics (e.g., coverage, defect rates, team member performance), share reports and dashboards with leadership. Team Leadership & Mentoring : Directly manage and mentor QA engineers, review work, and lead training. Process Improvement : Continuously enhance QA infrastructure and tools, processes, and stay updated on industry trends. Hands-On Contribution : Contribute directly when needed - writing tests, debugging, or executing complex tests This is a full-time remote position.

Requirements: Experience : 5+ years in QA, including 1+ years in team leadership. Proven track record in manual and automated testing of web/cloud apps. Technical Skills : Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies. Skilled in testing API-driven and SaaS platforms. Automation & CI/CD : Proficient in Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools. Strong scripting (JavaScript preferred) and CI/CD integration (Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.). Tools : Hands-on with TestRail, Zephyr, Jira, Xray, Postman, and performance tools like JMeter or k6. AI Fluency : Comfortable using and an early adopter of AI tools to enhance testing and productivity. Leadership & Communication : Strong communicator and people leader. Able to mentor teams, drive quality, and work independently in a remote setup. Remote Collaboration : Effective in distributed teams using tools like Teams, Zoom, Confluence, and Jira. Bonus : Familiar with AWS, Docker, LTI, SSO integrations, and load testing strategies. Reports to: VP of R&D, working closely with Product and Engineering to ensure high-quality EdTech releases.
