Tool Selection: Identify and implement the most effective tools and technologies for automated testing.
Manual Testing: Perform manual testing when necessary, focusing on areas that cannot be covered by automated tests.
Analytical Review: Examine system complexities to spot potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous testing standards to ensure platform stability and quality.
Collaboration: Work closely with development and product teams to integrate testing seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all test cases, processes, and results.

We are looking for a Performance and Automation Technical Lead to drive the definition, implementation, and scaling of our performance and automation testing strategy across the platform. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires deep technical expertise in AWS services (including Lambda, EKS, and S3), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm), and modern automation and performance testing tools.

The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role. They must be able to guide cross-functional teams, define test levels and scenarios, and provide support on implementation while maintaining a strategic view of system-wide quality and performance. A strong can-do approach, deep understanding of microservices, and the ability to zoom out and see the big picture are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Own and evolve the end-to-end test automation and performance strategy for complex distributed systems.

Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing using modern tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

Lead performance testing initiatives using tools like JMeter, k6, Gatling, and identify and troubleshoot system bottlenecks.

Drive integration of automation and performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.

Build observability into the testing and performance lifecycle using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog.
