We are looking for a Senior QA Testing Engineer with a strong automation mindset to join our DMC Proxy Team. In this role, youll take a central part in developing and maintaining automated testing for one of the fastest NoSQL distributed systems on the planet supporting tens of millions of ops/sec at sub-millisecond latency with true linear scalability.
As part of our QA activity, your primary responsibility will be to drive automation coverage across a wide range of functional, system, and performance scenarios. You will build robust and scalable automated test infrastructure, create meaningful test cases, and work closely with developers and product teams to identify issues early and ensure product excellence at scale.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about building high-quality, automation-first test solutions for complex distributed systems.
What Youll Do
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for backend distributed systems.
Implement automated tests covering functional, system, and performance use cases in CI/CD environments.
Analyze test results, investigate failures, and drive issues to resolution with development teams.
Improve automation efficiency, scalability, and reliability using best-in-class tools and practices.
Collaborate with R&D, QA, and Product to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive coverage.
Contribute to system-level performance and load testing, working with real-world customer scenarios.
Lead efforts to identify automation gaps and continuously raise the bar on test effectiveness and coverage.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience in QA engineering with a strong focus on automation.
Proven experience in designing and implementing automated tests for complex, distributed systems.
Solid hands-on scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar).
Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and automation frameworks.
Experience with performance or load testing tools and analysis.
Proficiency in working with Linux-based environments.
Experience working in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github CI).
Familiarity with networking protocols, debugging tools, and system-level troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Extra Great If You Have
Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, APM tools).
Experience testing database technologies (especially NoSQL).
Background in distributed systems, clusters, and container orchestration.
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, VMware, etc.).
Exposure to C or C++ (particularly useful for performance-related testing or integration).
