We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in the development of physical products aimed at monitoring the wellbeing of livestock, farm and companion animals. As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative solutions that contribute to improving animal health.
Responsibilities: · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop new design concepts. · Utilize SolidWorks or similar CAD software to create detailed mechanical designs, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability. · Perform detailed plastic part design, considering factors like material selection, injection moulding processes, and structural integrity. · Create electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies, that meet the required torque, force, speed, reliability, safety and cost. · Design parts and assemblies for both domestic and agricultural use. Meeting requirements for Ingress Protection, UV, Impact resistance, Temperature, Humidity, chemical resistance, and corrosion resistance. · Design for manual assembly and/or automation - using Design for Assembly tools to analysis assembly efficiency · Manage, communicate and prioritise risks using an FMEA. · Create technical specifications, test plans, acceptance criteria and work breakdowns. · Utilize SolidWorks Simulation or equivalent tools to evaluate the performance and structural integrity of designs, including static stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and mould flow. · Apply statistical techniques and tools, with Minitab, excel or other, to analyse data to understand and improve product performance, reliability and quality. · Employ statistical methods, such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and tolerance analysis, to optimize development testing and design. · Develop a broad understanding and hands-on experience with various manufacturing processes and technologies, including ultrasonic welding, laser marking, laser welding, design for assembly, and joining technologies (e.g., clip and snap fits). · Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production, addressing any manufacturing challenges or issues that arise. · Prepare design reviews, provide technical input, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design processes and methodologies. · Perform prototyping, testing and other empirical analysis.

The Team leader will manage all Engineering activities, employees, and projects, ranging from Design Transfer and cost reduction to production stability. The Team leader will be a significant member of the Operations management team. Job Description: 1. Manages the day-to-day activities of the Engineering team as well as the management and execution of team’s projects against project plans and company goals. 2. Provides guidance and direction, as well as hands-on resource and project management, for all Engineering activities. 3. Optimizes the manufacturing lines, continuously support and improve efficiency, quality, and safety. 4. Analyse and resolve process issues, ensuring consistent and reliable production output. 5. Organize manufacturing validation activities for new and existing products to ensure product specifications and procedures are achieved. 6. Lead investigations of manufacturing deviations (NCMR) and process failures and identify root causes that will lead to applicable corrective actions. 7. Work closely with R&D on product deviations investigations and troubleshooting resulted from the production line. 8. Extending process and product Engineering controls to outsourced manufacturing of administration sets (single use sterile products), ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements. 9. Managing design transfer processes from design freeze to the implementation of stable and validated production line. 10. Lead Engineering changes (ECO) and process experiments. 11. Provide guidance on the Engineering workshop activities, including equipment/ fixtures (Jigs) purchasing, calibration and maintenance. 12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to implement process corrective actions and improvements. 13. Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and correcting failures in products and processes. This role involves close collaboration with Development, Engineering, Production, and Customer service teams to ensure product and service quality.
Responsibilities:
FRACAS Management
Conduct failure analysis for products and processes.
Recommend and implement corrective actions to resolve identified failure modes.
Develop and implement quality control processes for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, manufacturing, quality) to understand the issues.
Prepare failure analysis reports and present findings to management.
Follow up on the effectiveness of corrective actions and make adjustments as necessary.
Participate in internal and external Quality audits.
Support the approval processes for new products.
Maintain detailed reports of failure investigations, findings, and corrective actions taken.
Identify opportunities for process or design improvements based on failure trends.

Investigate and analyze product failures, identifying root causes using techniques such as root cause analysis (RCA), fault tree analysis (FTA), or failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA).
