The Account Manager is in charge of leading sales/account management activities for all assigned locations, defining and driving sales strategies and ensuring the achievement of bookings, revenue and business goals.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
Own all sales/ account management responsibilities of specified Thermo Fisher Scientific products to all sites including resolving any issues.
Define, align and implement Account Strategy for the Life Sciences and Materials Science markets.
Ensure accurate quarterly booking forecasts.
Comprehend budgetary considerations for each customer and implement strategic actions accordingly.
Handle the sales booking process.
Collaborate with the Account Service Group and Application Engineers to address and resolve product issues in the field.
Work with the Service Team to achieve excellent customer happiness.
Requirements: How will you get here?
Typically requires a university degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field; an advanced degree is helpful.
Proven experience in sales management within a relevant product area is desirable.
Experience of Electron Microscopy preferred..
An outgoing personality with strong communication skills across diverse audiences, enabling the successful closure of sales and issue resolution.
Being passionate and driven in all you do.
Systematic problem solving by working with customers and marketing/service teams.
Presentation skills and crafting material for presentations to internal and external audiences.
Spoken and written English essential.

Ability to travel to customer sites and our demo facilities in the Netherlands.
