The Corporate Affairs Manager will play a crucial role in managing the local affiliate's external and internal engagement strategy, managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry groups, community and patient advocacy organizations, the general public, and the media. This role involves developing and executing strategies to advance the company's strategic objectives, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and enhancing the company's reputation within the community. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate a complex regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading external and internal communications, policy, and advocacy strategies, including relationships with key stakeholders.
Policy Advocacy: Develop and execute public affairs strategies to shape public policy and regulatory frameworks that impact the relevant therapeutic areas and the pharmaceutical industry. Monitor and analyze national policy developments that impact the company and provide insights to the relevant internal stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain partnerships with policymakers, industry associations, and patient advocacy groups.
Crisis Management: Lead the response to media and public affairs issues relevant , ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
Media Relations: Develop and implement media strategies, lead work with PR and communication agencies to manage media relations, long term media campaigns, including drafting press releases, statements, and handling media inquiries.
Internal Communications: Execute internal communication strategies to ensure alignment, engagement, and a positive corporate culture across the organization.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Political Science, Communications, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, corporate communications, or a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Strong understanding of healthcare policy, regulatory environments, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of successfully managing public affairs campaigns and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Experience with crisis management and media relations.
Ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, actionable strategies.
Ability to act as a trusted advisor to managers across the company on all issues related to communications, government affairs, and patient engagement.
