How will your job look like?
Manage and maintain our companys heterogeneous data center Storage and HPC infrastructure
Collaborate with development teams to fully understand their requirements and design storage architectures that meet those needs
Architect and maintain next-generation distributed storage systems, including object storage, file storage, and more
Tackle complex challenges and demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills in high-availability environments
Operate within complex, mission-critical data centers, working alongside domain experts to ensure optimal performance of Storage and HPC solutions
Perform planning, performance tuning, optimization, hardware/firmware configuration, and device hardening.

This is a challenging role, so we expect you to have significant experience leading and developing complex and distributed engineering systems. We are looking for an individual contributor that enjoys mentoring teammates and working closely with users.

You will:

Develop features and improvements to the products in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.

Assess, design, and build solutions to address the product use cases and arrive at actionable recommendations.

Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Plan, implement, and automate the cloud infrastructure and development cycle for the product(s) you are working on.

Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards and provide thoughtful pull request reviews, up-skilling, and mentorship to peers.

Confidently ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.

Participate in Tier 2 or Tier 3 weekday and weekend and occasional night on-call rotations to assist troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues.

Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting procedures of the team via build guides and runbooks.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Engineering group at our company. This group is responsible for providing the technological solutions that best fit the business needs of various stakeholders, including product teams, BI analysts, marketing analysts, finance, data scientists, backend teams, and more.
What you will be doing
Build and own the infrastructure and services required for processing and storing data from a wide variety of sources, including mobile apps and internal/external data producers.
Design and build processes to integrate a wide range of edge systems across multiple cloud providers and handheld platforms reliably.
Assist data consumers across our company in defining requirements and refining existing processes using a wide variety of tools.
Define and own the systems and processes that deliver data to the data warehouse, while maintaining these systems and the warehouse itself.
Identify bottlenecks in internal data processes and resolve them by automating workflows, optimizing data delivery and storage, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
Integrate new tools and solutions to empower the companys data consumers and help assimilate them effectively.

What you will be doing
Take a key part in designing, building and maintaining our ML serving platform and making sure it is scalable and reliable. Our goal is to provide researchers and other developers in the company an easy way to deploy, monitor and maintain their services. Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure to provide a reliable and scalable platform for other teams to build on. Ensure high availability and performance of our production environment. * As a key member of the Business Risk unit within QSG, you will work on risk model/tool development and management. Help the lead of the unit in second and third line liaisons, working closely with model owners to ensure model compliance.
