Architecture Definition: Help define the technical vision, architecture, and long-term directions of the Cloud Platform group and the wider R&D organization.
Engineering Excellence: Be a champion for engineering excellence, setting high standards, mentoring engineers across the group to foster solid architectural principles, and supporting their professional growth.
Architect Forum Participation: Be a key member of the companys architect forum, participate in complex technical discussions, and facilitate effective, org-wide decision-making processes.

As a System Architect, you will:
Experience designing and leading complex end-to-end product architectures across multiple domains
Connect backend, frontend, research, development and third-party integrations into a coherent system
Experience working in product-driven environments with evolving requirements

Design, deploy, and operate virtualization solutions that provide high availability, scalability, and performance across a complex on-premises infrastructure.
Design, deploy, operate, and maintain enterprise storage systems, including NetApp ONTAP, VAST Data, and IBM storage platforms.
Integrate and optimize storage solutions within virtualized environments.
Identify and evaluate new technologies relevant to storage and virtualization.
Automate IT processes to improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability of infrastructure.
Collaborate with other IT domains to ensure seamless operation of core services.

In this role, you will be driving CPU architecture exploration by analyzing performance metrics (latency, power, code density) across benchmarks and CPU families. Investigate optimization opportunities through customizing ISAs and microarchitecture features to improve power and performance. You will develop simulation analysis tools and toolchain infrastructure for CPU/SOC architectures. You will collaborate closely with Apple's algorithm and software teams to build efficient CPUs, enhancing performance for diverse use cases.
Description
You will be responsible to create analysis tools to assist in architecture exploration. You will define and simulate CPU features and develop supporting tool chains including simulators, analysis tools, compiler, etc.. You will collaborate with SW and algorithm teams as well as implementation teams to define and build efficient CPUs that integrate seamlessly into various subsystems.
Responsibilities
Work with SW and algorithm teams for optimization and customization of ISAs, CPU architecture, and micro architecture features
Create and analyze benchmarks for CPU and SOC subsystem architectures
Develop architectural and performance simulators
Define and develop toolchain infrastructure

Troubleshoot and debug technical incidents
Monitor and troubleshoot various systems
Monitor and investigate OPSEC incidents
Provide clients with a professional first point of contact
Handle day-to-day production issues
