We are looking for a hands-on VP R D Manager to join a young, early-stage startup developing advanced AI-based computer vision software for automation and robotics.
The companys customers are global industrial leaders across the medical devices, defense and space, automotive, and electronics sectors.
This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in building both the product and the R D organization from the ground up. The company currently has a small, talented team of 5 engineers (software and algorithms) that is expected to grow to around 10 within the next year.
Because the team is still small, this role requires a very hands-on leader who will stay close to the code, conduct code reviews and guide technical design and implementation personally while progressively scaling the team and infrastructure.

Requirements: Proven experience in building and managing small, high-performing R D teams.
Deep understanding of software architecture, computer vision, AI, and algorithms.
Ability and motivation to remain hands-on in an early-stage startup environment.
Background in developing software for industrial sectors (medical, defense, automotive, or electronics).
Startup mindset proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in dynamic conditions.
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
7+ years of progressive R D and leadership experience.
