Troubleshoot analog, digital, power, and communication interfaces using oscilloscopes and other laboratory equipment.
Perform board-level modifications, rework, repairs, and validation according to engineering requirements.
Work closely with hardware design engineers to investigate failures, improve designs, and resolve technical issues.
Support PCB manufacturers and assembly partners throughout production, troubleshooting, and quality processes.
Execute and support environmental testing of electronic boards and electro-optical systems.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers on system integration, thermal considerations, cable routing, and assembly optimization.
Develop, document, and perform calibration procedures for electro-optical systems.
Document test results, failure analysis, corrective actions, and engineering activities.
Support continuous improvement of laboratory processes, production readiness, and engineering workflows.
Requirements:
B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or Certified Practical Electronics Engineer (יג-יד).
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electronic board bring-up, debugging, testing, repair, and integration.
Strong experience troubleshooting electronic boards and performing board-level modifications and validation.
Proficiency using oscilloscopes and standard electronics laboratory equipment.
Experience with electro-optical systems, embedded electronics, cameras, sensors, or other multidisciplinary systems.
Experience working with PCB designers, manufacturers, and electronic assembly partners.
Familiarity with environmental testing and calibration processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
This position is open to all candidates.

We are looking for an Electro-Optical Engineer to join the LYNX development team and lead hands-on research, characterization, testing, and integration of advanced electro-optical technologies into complex multidisciplinary systems.

The role combines practical lab work, system-level design, execution, and technological innovation. Role includes leading design and implementation of sensors, lenses, cameras, thermal systems, optical measurement, image quality, sensor accuracy, and integration with broader platform technologies.

As part of the LYNX team, the engineer will support component-level and system-level design, experimentation, integration, supplier technical discussions, test planning, documentation, and collaboration with mechanical, electronics, software, system engineering, and validation teams.

Responsibilities

Characterize, evaluate, and integrate electro-optical components such as sensors, lenses, cameras, compasses, thermal imaging modules, and related optical subsystems.
Plan, develop, and execute component-level and system-level experiments, including optical bench testing, optical measurements, and system integration activities.
Define and implement optical test methodologies for image quality, sensor accuracy, optical performance, environmental behavior, and system-level functionality.
Support the integration of new technologies into existing LYNX systems and future developments, including interfaces with IMU, GPS, laser range finders, compass modules, and additional platform sensors.
Work with suppliers and subcontractors on requirements definition, design reviews, performance evaluation, technical trade-offs, and issue resolution.
Write technical specifications, test plans, experiment reports, analysis summaries, and supporting engineering documentation and transfer to production processes.
Support system integration, troubleshooting, verification, validation, and field-testing activities.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanics, electronics, software, system engineering, QA, and operations.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher in Electro-Optical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of hands-on experience working with electro-optical systems or optical measurement environments.
Strong understanding of physical optics, geometrical optics, imaging systems, sensors, lenses, cameras, and optical performance parameters.
Experience planning and executing experiments, performing measurements, analyzing test results, and drawing clear engineering conclusions.
Experience working with optical laboratory equipment, measurement setups, calibration methods, and test instrumentation.
