The optics group is looking for a Physicist / Optical Engineer to take responsibility for various development activities related to the critical modules of the multi-disciplinary tools.
Responsibilities:
Youll be joining the optics group:
Optics group is responsible for the whole optical path of the tools starting from the light sources, through the optical channels, and to the sensors
The optical path of our tools comprises diverse high-end elements from different optics branches providing state-of-the-art performance at the system level
Team members are involved in diverse development phases from the concept and feasibility to the final design and qualification
All team members operate in multi-tasking mode managing in parallel various research, design, and engineering activities
What will you do as a Physicist/ Optical Engineer?
Analyzing tool-related physical effects
Designing optical architecture and configuration of our tools
Design of the new optical concepts
Responsibility for a feasibility study of the new concepts and configurations

Careful definition of the test plans and design of the test setups
Off-tool and on-tool verification of the results
Vendor selection and technical management

We are looking for a System Engineer to be responsible for a novel product throughout its product life cycle from the development phase to installation and support at customer sites, as part of a team.
What will you do as a System Engineer?
Technical definition and detailing of system high-level requirements (SW/HW)
Need to have deep technical familiarity with the system
Tool troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability, know the process flow and key domains
Field escalation define mitigations and plan for a full solution
Perform feasibility according to R&D research process flow Analytical conclusions deduction
Technical expert go-to person for specific system domain
Complete system operability capability - super user level
Advance planning feasibility plan, feature test, spec definition, TTS/TTP, tool work
Task & Time management
Clear understanding of end goal and scope in mind
Prioritization understanding, bottleneck removal
Full delivery closure from HW/SW SRS via implementation to PRD/SRV follow up
Tool configuration and golden parameters, PRD/SRV training, SRV utilities
Manage interfaces with peers topics under your domain
Resourcefulness self progression and issue mitigation
Collaboration mindset with other departments (NPI, SRV, MRK)

Your Day to Day:
Mapping-out material and performance related limitations of our laser.
Offering and testing design improvements to reduce the above limitations.
Reviewing related literature and building hypotheses through simplified physical models.
Planning and executing experiments to validate hypotheses.
Consult team members and work together to research/production/productization activities.
Proposing and testing design solutions / new architectures to improve the product in terms of performance, manufacturability, cost, size and reliability.
