What Youll Be Doing
Design, build and set up development tools and infrastructure for use by the various teams in the R&D organization.
Among the different tools:
test infrastructure used by the QA
Maintain and develop API and interfaces facing the company storage product + different cloud providers.
full stack bug investigation portal
VM orchestration
Collaborate with other teams to improve the productivity of the entire R&D organization.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a DevFinOps Engineer within a highly skilled team, bridging engineering and finance to drive cloud cost efficiency across large-scale operations from development to production.
Design, develop, and maintain Avanan's cloud cost visibility, allocation, and optimization solutions - including tagging strategies, cost dashboards, budgets, and anomaly detection across accounts and services.
Implement tools and procedures for cost monitoring, forecasting, and alerting across our SaaS multi-tenant product family.
Embed FinOps practices into the CI/CD lifecycle - surfacing the cost impact of changes early, and enforcing cost guardrails as part of deployment automation.
build AI-based FinOps agents for cloud services at the infrastructure and application levels
Continuously identify and execute cost-optimization opportunities (right-sizing, reserved capacity/savings plans, spot usage, storage tiering, idle-resource cleanup) without compromising performance, reliability, or security.
Partner with engineering teams to drive cost accountability - providing unit-economics insight (cost per tenant/feature/service) and making cost a first-class engineering metric.
Plan capacity and model the financial impact of scaling decisions, balancing cost efficiency with fault tolerance and growth.
Design and shape our cost reporting, chargeback/showback, and budgeting solutions.
Execute all tasks with cloud infrastructure security and financial governance as guiding principles.

In this role, you will build and own the techno-financial operations practice for our cloud, infrastructure, AI, data, and third-party engineering services. You will work closely with Engineering, DevOps, AI Infrastructure, Product, and Finance to make infrastructure spend transparent, predictable, optimized, and aligned with business value.

The role is in the junction of engineering and finance, You will be responsible for creating visibility into cloud and infrastructure costs, driving optimization initiatives, improving forecasting accuracy, defining cost governance practices, and helping engineering teams make better cost-aware technical decisions without slowing down delivery.

We need a Director to set the strategy for everything underneath it - cloud, security, and the delivery lifecycle - and to bring AI into how that infrastructure is run.

This is a director-level leadership role, not an IC stretch assignment. You will lead our DevOps organization - which already has a team leader running day-to-day delivery - and operate one level up: setting direction, owning the roadmap, making architecture and build-vs-buy calls with authority, and representing infrastructure at the leadership table. Close enough to the work to guide it in depth, senior enough to own it end to end.

What Youll be Doing:
Own cloud infrastructure and security as one strategy: architecture, scale, and the path to our next order of magnitude of growth, with our security and compliance posture (IAM, secrets, hardened baselines, SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audit readiness) built in from the start, not bolted on.
Own the SDLC end to end, and drive AI into every stage of it: measure delivery performance (lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate) and use AI to improve each stage of the lifecycle - planning, code review, testing, release, and operations - alongside AIOps practices like automated/self-healing recovery and intelligent alerting.
Own FinOps as a strategic discipline: the cloud bill is a P&L line you're accountable for, with unit economics driven down every quarter.
Own vendor and contractual relationships across cloud, tooling, and infrastructure services - negotiating leverage, not just approving invoices.
Lead the DevOps organization through its team leader: set technical direction and standards, develop the team leader into a stronger manager, and grow the bench beneath them.
Partner as a peer with Backend, Infra, AI, Data, Product, Security and Finance leadership - infrastructure decisions get made with you in the room, not after.

As a DevOps Engineer for our companys Autonomous Workspace Platform, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure behind a new AI-driven security platform.
You will be responsible for managing cloud environments that support our companys XDR products and the Autonomous Workspace Platform. You will take part in designing and implementing cloud architecture, optimizing infrastructure, improving reliability and observability, and ensuring security and cost efficiency.

As a Platform DevOps Engineer for us, you will lead DevOps for our SaaS product. You will serve as the products primary DevOps owner, with end-to-end responsibility for infrastructure, Production availability, reliability, and development and deployment workflows. Own the end-to-end cloud-native infrastructure for us, including Development, Test, and Production environments.

Automate Workflows: Utilize AI to automate merge conflict resolutions and keep the merge train moving smoothly.
Accelerate CI Velocity: Architect workflows to parallelize work both across jobs and within jobs. Introduce highly effective caching strategies and local Artifactory mirrors to drastically reduce build and dependency-fetch times.

Drive Repository Security & Maintenance
