Your Mission
As a Backend Engineer, you build the scalable, resilient engine that powers the platform. Your mission is to design and implement high-performance services that handle massive scale, ensuring data integrity and system reliability for thousands of brands. Working within a product team, you will translate complex business logic into robust architectural solutions, ensuring that our infrastructure can scale as fast as our customers do.
Key Responsibilities:
Distributed Systems Design: Design and build microservices and event-driven architectures that are resilient, scalable, and maintainable. You will make critical decisions on synchronous vs. asynchronous communication and data consistency.
Data Mastery: Manage the lifecycle of data across our platform. You will design efficient database schemas (SQL & NoSQL) and optimize query performance to handle high-throughput workloads.
Operational Excellence: Embrace the You Build It, You Run It philosophy. You will own your services in production, implementing observability (logging, tracing, metrics) to detect issues before our customers do.
API Craftsmanship: Build clean, secure, and well-documented APIs (REST/GraphQL) that serve as the contract between our backend services and the frontend experience.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of backend software development and infrastructure engineering. You will own the design and delivery of platform capabilities - from backend services and APIs to the internal developer tooling, CI/CD systems, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure that power our engineering organization.

You will partner closely with software engineering teams, acting as both a builder and an enabler: shipping production-quality backend services while also raising the bar for developer experience, deployment reliability, and infrastructure scalability.

What You'll Be Doing

Design, build, and maintain production-grade backend services, APIs, and microservices.
Develop background workers, event-driven systems, and async processing pipelines.
Define and enforce backend architecture patterns - API design standards, service boundaries, data modeling, and error handling.
Collaborate with product and feature teams to deliver shared platform services (auth, notifications, integrations, etc.).
Integrate and operate AI agents within engineering workflows, using them as active development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
Contribute to the design and development of corporate AI-agent tooling - building the infrastructure, APIs, and platform abstractions that power our internal LLM-based tools.
Work closely with large language models (LLMs) - including prompt engineering, API integration, and building reliable pipelines around model inference.
Own and evolve our Kubernetes infrastructure, including Helm chart management, workload configuration, RBAC, and cluster operations.
Design and manage CI/CD pipeline templates shared across engineering teams - covering build, test, security scanning, and deployment stages.
Develop internal developer platform tooling that improves self-service capabilities and deployment velocity.
Drive observability best practices using tools like Datadog, OpenTelemetry, and Prometheus.

We are looking for a Senior II Software Engineer to join the CX Platform team, the foundational engineering team powering our entire Customer Experience group. This is a high-impact, hands-on role at the intersection of backend engineering, AI infrastructure, and customer-facing product.
You'll work across the full platform stack (backend services, data pipelines, security, cost, and scale) with a meaningful and growing focus on AI infrastructure. Own core data foundations. Design resilient data-access patterns across Snowflake, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Redis, and MySQL; keep pipelines fast, fresh, and reliable.
Mentor and elevate. Help engineers across the CX group grow in backend craft, AI engineering, and system design thinking.
Collaborate cross-functionally. Work with product, design, and customer-facing teams to turn ambiguous problems into well-scoped, high-quality solutions.
