Position Summary The Country QA/QC Lead is the primary quality authority on the ground in India for the semiconductor fab EPC project. The role spans all project phases — procurement, off-site fabrication, on-site installation, and commissioning — and is responsible for executing the project QA/QC program under the direction of the Company Quality Manager based in Israel. This is a senior field role requiring strong technical judgment, team leadership, and direct engagement with suppliers, subcontractors, and the site construction team.
Scope of Delivery Covered The Country QA/QC Lead is responsible for quality oversight across the full mechanical scope, including: • Exhaust ductwork — FRP, Galvanized Steel, and Stainless Steel • Wet and dry scrubbers • Regenerative Catalytic Thermal Oxidizers (RCTO) • Exhaust fans and associated mechanical equipment • ASME B31.3 piping — metallic and non-metallic • High-purity piping systems (electropolished SS, PVDF, and similar) • Non-high-purity piping systems
Key Responsibilities Procurement Phase • Review and approve supplier/subcontractor Quality Plans, ITPs, and WPS/PQRs prior to fabrication start • Conduct or coordinate vendor qualification visits to local and regional fabricators • Verify material certifications, mill certs, and traceability records against project specifications • Track and manage supplier documentation submittals and RFI/NCR responses • Coordinate with the Company Quality Manager on vendor approval status and risk items Off-Site Fabrication • Witness fabrication Hold Points per ITP at supplier shops in India • Monitor welding inspectors for correct inspection of welds, joints, surface finishes, and dimensional compliance for ductwork and piping spools • Enforce cleanliness and contamination control protocols for high-purity components • Issue, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) at fabrication facilities • Verify packing, preservation, and transportation requirements for sensitive items On-Site Installation • Supervise and coordinate all in-country inspectors (welding, mechanical, leak testing, clean room) • Witness installation hold points — fit-up, weld inspection, pressure/leak testing, torque verification • Monitor compliance with ASME B31.3 requirements for both metallic and non-metallic piping • Enforce high-purity installation protocols including flushing, purging, and contamination prevention • Manage the site NCR log, punch lists, and corrective action follow-up • Review and approve field weld documentation, test records, and redline markups Commissioning Support • Verify final documentation packages (MDRs) are complete and signed off • Support handover activities and client quality acceptance Reporting and Administration • Issue weekly quality status reports to the Company Quality Manager • Maintain the site QA/QC register, ITP status tracker, and document control log • Coordinate with the on-site Admin/Documentation Controller for document flow • Attend site coordination meetings and represent quality on construction progress calls
Requirements: Qualifications & Experience Required • Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in power/process plant construction (chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or similar) • Demonstrated experience with ASME B31.3 piping — both metallic and non-metallic systems • Experience with FRP, galvanized, and stainless steel ductwork fabrication and installation • Proven ability to manage a team of inspectors across multiple work fronts • Experience conducting source inspections at off-site fabrication shops • Proficiency in ITP preparation, NCR management, and quality documentation Preferred • Experience on semiconductor fab or cleanroom construction projects • Familiarity with high-purity piping systems (electropolished SS, PVDF, orbital welding) • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent • CWI (AWS) or IIW-ICE (Indian Institute of Wel
