The Bookkeeper will take care of all day-to-day financial tasks. Will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with all payroll and bank account management and reconciliation tasks. As a key member of the team, this role reports directly to the Controller.
Essential Functions
Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
Monitoring financial transactions and reports.
Processing accounts receivable and payable.
Working with an accountant when necessary.
Handling monthly payroll using accounting software.
Requirements: Ideal/Preferred Experience and Education
Type 3 tax certificate in accounting.
Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
Knowledge of bookkeeping software, especially Priority.
At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a biotech or hi-tech companies environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
Must be an English speaker.
Knowledge and experience in US payroll
Knowledge and experience in Excel
Ability to work under pressure.
