We are seeking a quantum computing expert with deep practical experience in quantum algorithms and quantum software development, who will lead the design, development, and deployment of quantum-enabled solutions. This role offers the opportunity to build pioneering quantum capabilities from the ground up, in close alignment with industry needs, particularly in the telecom and networking space.
You will take part in defining and evolving the quantum software strategyhelping to drive early innovation projects, prototype development, and real-world applications of quantum algorithms to solve complex problems in optimization, security, and data processing.
As part of a cutting-edge team, you will collaborate across product, research, and engineering groups to ensure our quantum solutions deliver measurable business impact and are positioned for successful integration within existing classical infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the research, development, and implementation of practical quantum algorithms with applications in telco, networking, and related domains.
Drive end-to-end quantum software projectsfrom concept through design, simulation, and hybrid execution (quantum/classical).
Evaluate and select quantum platforms, software stacks, and frameworks; work with both gate-based and annealing technologies where applicable.
Translate complex business and engineering problems into quantum-ready solutions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across software, data science, and product to embed quantum into larger system architectures.
Identify opportunities for quantum advantage and develop early prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrators.
Engage with the broader quantum ecosystem: startups, research institutes, and platform providers.
Familiarity with classical algorithms is a plus
Requirements: Experience in quantum computing, with emphasis on quantum algorithm design and quantum software development.
Solid foundation in classical software engineering, with prior experience in telecom, networking, or complex distributed systemsideally from a commercial or enterprise setting.
Familiarity with quantum development tools and frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, Ocean SDK, Classiq or similar.
Experience bridging quantum and classical systems, including hybrid algorithms (e.g., VQE, QAOA, QML).
Demonstrated ability to lead or significantly contribute to practical quantum computing projects beyond theoretical research.
Bachelors or advanced degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. A PhD is an advantage, particularly with applied research.
Strong communication skillsable to convey quantum concepts to non-specialists and business stakeholders.
Strategic mindset and strong business orientationable to connect technical capabilities with enterprise challenges
